Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perceived social support terhadap kesehatan mental Anak Didik Pemasyarakatan di Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan angket atau kuesioner dalam bentuk cetak. Instrumen yang digunakan pada variabel kesehatan mental yaitu Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS) oleh Stewart-Brown dkk. (2007) dan pada variabel perceived social support yaitu Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) oleh Zimet dkk. (1988). Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 50 Anak yang sudah mendapatkan putusan atau vonis, sedang menjalani binaan di LPKA, dan berusia 13-18 tahun. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil pengolahan data penelitian menujukkan terdapat pengaruh positif perceived social support terhadap kesehatan mental Anak Didik Pemasyarakatan di Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak sebesar 16,8%, artinya apabila perceived social support Anak Binaan tinggi maka kesehetan mental juga akan tinggi, dan sebaliknya yang dimana jika perceived social support Anak Binaan rendah maka kesehatan mentalnya juga akan rendah. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of perceived social support on child convict’s mental health at Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak. The method that used is a quantitative approach using printed questionnaires. The mental health variable uses the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (WEMWBS) instrument by Stewart-Brown et al (2007) and the perceived social support variable uses the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) by Zimet et al (1988). The respondents in this study are 50 children who already received a decision, have been undergoing guidance at LPKA, and on age 13-18 years. The data analysis uses simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study, shows that there is a positive influence of perceived social support on child convict’s mental health at Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak of 16,8%. This means if children’s perceived social support increases, so do their mental health. And vice versa.
