Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran know-want to know-learned terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman interpretatif siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Tanjung Barat 07, Kecamatan Jagakarsa, Jakarta Selatan sebanyak 60 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen, dengan desain posttest-only control design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran know-want to know-learned berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan membaca pemahaman interpretatif siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran know-want to know-learned dapat dijadikan sebuah upaya dalam mengembangkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman interpretatif siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Oleh sebab itu, guru perlu mengetahui kemampuan dan kebutuhan setiap siswa sehingga dapat merancang kegiatan membaca yang bervariasi sehingga kemampuan membaca pemahaman interpretatif siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar dapat berkembang. Kata Kunci: Strategi Pembelajaran Know-Want to Know-Learned, Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman Interpretatif ***** This study aims to determine the effect of know-want to know-learned learning strategy on the interpretive reading comprehension ability of grade IV elementary school students. The sample in this study was 60 students at SDN Tanjung Barat 07, Jagakarsa District, South Jakarta. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. The method used is a quasi experimental method, with a posttest-only control design. Data collection is done by tests and analyzed using t-tests. The results showed that know-want to know-learned learning strategy positively affected the interpretive reading comprehension ability of grade IV elementary school students. These results show that know-want to know-learned learning strategy can be used as an effort to develop interpretive reading comprehension skills of grade IV elementary school students. Therefore, teachers need to know the abilities and needs of each student so that they can design varied reading activities so that the ability to read interpretive comprehension in grade IV elementary school can develop.
