Abstract

****ABSTRAK**** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh dalam penggunaan aplikasi Youtube terhadap kemampuan menyimak hikayat siswa kelas X di SMKN 26 Jakarta. Setelah dilakukan observasi di SMKN 26 Jakarta, ditemukan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam kegiatan menyimak karena media yang digunakan guru adalah suara vocal, lalu dari pihak guru mengalami kesulitan dalam pengoprasian teknologi dari website ataupun aplikasi. Aplikasi youtube digunakan dengan harapan dapat mmembantu siswa dalam mengevaluasi sebuah karya sastra, dalam penelitian ini yang dievaluasi adalah Hikayat. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian eksperimen. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra-eksperimen. dalam penelitian praeksperimen menggunakan rancangan two grup pretest and posttest desain, yang dilakukan terhadap satu kelompok tanpa adanya kelompok kontrol atau pembanding. Pada langkah awal peneliti memilih kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol secara acak. Selanjutnya, kelompok kontrol tanpa diberikan perlakuan menggunakan aplikasi youtube, sedangkan kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan aplikasi Youtube. Pada awal kegiatan kelas kontrol dan eksperimen diberikan pretest, lalu pada kelompok eksperimen diberikan posttest setelah diberikan perlakuan, pada kelompok kontrol diberikan posttest setelah pengajaran konvensional dilakukan. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan di SMKN 26 Jakarta dengan sampel kelas X SIJA 1 dan 2, dan dilakukan pada tanggal 2 November 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, setelah melakukan eksperimen, penggunaan aplikasi youtube memberikan peningkatan nilai yang baik bagi siswa kelas X SMKN 26 Jakarta. Peningkatan nilai tidak dibandingkan pada pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen saja namun antara posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai dan rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen lebih unggul. Dengan demikian maka terdapat pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi Youtube terhadap kemampuan analisis siswa kelas X SMKN 26 Jakarta. ****ABSTRACT**** This research aims to find out whether there is an influence in using the YouTube application on the ability to listen to stories of class X students at SMKN 26 Jakarta. After conducting observations at SMKN 26 Jakarta, it was found that students had difficulty in listening activities because the media used by teachers was vocal sounds, and then the teacher experienced difficulties in operating technology from websites or applications. The YouTube application is used in the hope that it can help students evaluate a literary work, in this research the Hikayat is evaluated. This research is included in the type of experimental research. The research method used was pre-experimental. in pre-experimental research used two-group pretest and posttest design, which was carried out on one group without a control or comparison group. In the first step, the researcher randomly selected the experimental group and the control group. Furthermore, the control group was given no treatment using the YouTube application, while the experimental group was given treatment using the YouTube application. At the beginning of the control and experimental class activities, a pretest was given, then the experimental group was given a posttest after being given treatment, and the control group was given a posttest after conventional teaching was carried out. The data collection process was carried out at SMKN 26 Jakarta with samples from class X SIJA 1 and 2 and was carried out on November 2, 2023. The research results showed that, after conducting experiments, the use of the YouTube application provided a good increase in grades for class X students at SMKN 26 Jakarta. The increase in scores was not compared to the pretest and posttest of the experimental class alone, but between the posttest of the experimental class and the control class there was a difference in the average score and the average score of the experimental class was superior. Thus, there is an influence of using the YouTube application on the analytical skills of class X students at SMKN 26 Jakarta.
