Abstract

********ABSTRAK***** Perkembangan zaman saat ini dengan masuknya budaya asing kedalam negeri membuat eksistensi budaya lokal kini sedikit demi sedikit tergerus dan mulai kurang diminati oleh masyarakat. Terlebih lagi generasi saat ini yakni anak-anak yang merupakan penerus bangsa seharusnya mengenal serta ikut melestarikan budaya lokal. Indonesia mempunyai ragam suku budaya lokal yang menarik untuk dipelajari, salah satunya suku Betawi di Jakarta yang merupakan Ibukota Indonesia. Budaya Betawi memiliki kesenian yang beragam dan unik namun banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahuinya. Namun, masih banyak masyarakat yang tinggal di wilayah Jakarta belum mengetahui ragam keseniannya. Urgensi dari penelitian ini maupun penciptaan karya Seni Rupa adalah perlunya penyampaian pelestarian budaya kesenian melalui media dengan penyampaian yang mudah dipahami oleh anak-anak. Media yang digunakan oleh peneliti ialah media visual buku cerita bergambar karena dengan buku cerita bergambar anak-anak akan lebih tertarik untuk membaca memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai kesenian Betawi. Penciptaan karya seni rupa ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan Design Thinking. Metode penelitan yang digunakan meliputi narasumber magang, proses eksplorasi dan pendapat calon pengguna. Buku cerita bergambar divisualisasikan dengan ilustrasi kartun dan juga warna-warna yang cerah menyesuaikan dengan warna khas Betawi. Buku cerita bergambar ini dibuat menjadi tiga karya seri buku dengan satu judul yang sama yaitu “Abew dan Kesenian betawi” Kata Kunci: Budaya Lokal, Kesenian Betawi, Buku Cerita Bergambar, Design Thinking. *****ABSTRACT****** The development of the current era with the entry of foreign culture into the country makes the existence of local culture is now gradually eroded and began to be less in demand by the public. Moreover, the current generation of children who are the nation's successors should know and participate in preserving local culture. Indonesia has a variety of local cultural tribes that are interesting to learn, one of which is the Betawi tribe in Jakarta, which is the capital of Indonesia. Betawi culture has a diverse and unique art but many people do not know it. However, there are still many people who live in the Jakarta area do not know the variety of art. The urgency of this research as well as the creation of works of Art is the need to deliver the preservation of art culture through the media with a delivery that is easily understood by children. The Media used by the artist is a visual media illustrated storybooks because with illustrated storybooks children will be more interested in reading to gain knowledge about Betawi art. Creation of works of art using qualitative methods with Design Thinking approach. The research methods used include internship speakers, exploration process and opinions of prospective users. Illustrated storybooks are visualized with cartoon illustrations and also bright colors to match the typical Betawi colors. This illustrated storybook is made into three book series with the same title, " Abew dan Kesenian betawi” Keywords: Local Culture, Betawi Art, Picture Story Book, Design Thinking.
