Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana komunikasi interpersonal yang digunakan pelatih dengan atlet Pencak Silat Balya dalam masa persiapan pertandingan Piala Koni Jakarta Pusat 2024. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian studi kasus digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mendapat pemahaman yang mendalam terkait komunikasi antara pelatih dengan atlet. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara serta observasi dengan menggunakan analisi data model Miles & Huberman. Triangulasi data digunakan untuk mendapat keakuratan serta keabsahan pada data yang ada. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan komunikasi interpersonal antara pelatih dengan atlet berjalan baik karena terjalinnya komunikasi dua arah. Penggunaan komunikasi verbal dan nonverbal pada saat latihan efektif untuk memberikan instruksi teknis serta pemberian motivasi pada atlet kemudian menciptakan hubungan yang kuat serta timbal balik. Kendala yang terjadi dalam komunikasi ini adalah kendala pemahaman atlet serta tingkat kepercayaan diri atlet serta kurangnya pemahaman bahasa nonverbal. Kata Kunci: Komunikasi Interpersonal, Komunikasi Olahraga, Pelatih & Atlet Pencak Silat, Piala Koni Jakarta Pusat 2024, Pencak Silat Balya ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe how the interpersonal communication is used by coaches and Balya Pencak Silat athletes during the preparation period for the 2024 Central Jakarta Koni Cup competition. A qualitative approach with case study research methods is used in this research to gain an in-depth understanding regarding communication between coaches and athletes . The data collection techniques used were interviews and observation using the Miles & Huberman model of data analysis. Data triangulation is used to obtain accuracy and validity of existing data. The results of the research show that interpersonal communication between coaches and athletes runs well because there is two-way communication. The use of verbal and nonverbal communication during training is effective in providing technical instructions and motivating athletes and then creating strong and reciprocal relationships. The obstacles that occur in this communication are obstacles in the athlete's understanding and the athlete's level of self-confidence as well as a lack of understanding of non-verbal language.
