Abstract

Media microlearning merupakan media yang baru diterapkan di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Informatika dan Komputer Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Belum ada pengukuran terkait efektivitasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui student engagement pada penerapan media pembelajaran microlearning. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif mixed method model eksplanatoris sekuensial. Penelitian dimulai dengan pengumpulan data dan analisis data kuesioner, dilanjutkan dengan pengumpulan data dan analisis data wawancara, kemudian hasil kualitatif digunakan untuk memaparkan lebih dalam hasil kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat student engagement dalam penerapan media microlearning mendapat persentase skor sebesar 77,63% dan masuk kriteria sangat baik. Ini berarti keterlibatan mahasiswa dalam penerapan media microlearning di mata kuliah Desain Web Lanjut dan Sistem Multimedia sangat baik. Pada aspek behavioral engagement, memperoleh persentase skor sebesar 73,45% dan termasuk kriteria baik. Aspek emotional engagement memperoleh persentase skor sebesar 81,01% dan masuk kriteria sangat baik. Aspek cognitive engagement memperoleh persentase skor sebesar 76,40% dan masuk kriteria sangat baik. Beberapa alasan mahasiswa terlibat dalam penerapan media microlearning di antaranya, cara penyajian, bentuk media, dan durasi yang disajikan pada media microlearning. Kesiapan mahasiswa secara teknis untuk menerima media microlearning, seperti keterampilan menggunakan perangkat komunikasi, internet, dan aplikasi pembelajaran yang mungkin jadi faktor pendukung keterlibatan mahasiswa. ***** Microlearning media is a new implemented media in the Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program at the State University of Jakarta. There has been no measurement of its effectiveness. This study aims to determine student engagement in the implementation of microlearning educational media. This research is a descriptive mixed-method study using a sequential explanatory model. The research begins with quantitative research, which involves the collection and analysis of questionnaire data, followed by qualitative research, which involves the collection and analysis of interview data. The qualitative results are then used to provide a deeper explanation of the quantitative findings. The results of this study indicate that the level of student engagement in the implementation of microlearning media obtained a percentage of 77.63% with very good criteria. This means that student engagement in the implementation of microlearning media in the Advanced Web Design and Multimedia Systems courses is very good. In the aspect of behavioral engagement, the obtained percentage is 73.45% with good criteria. In the aspect of emotional engagement, the obtained percentage is 81.01% with very good criteria. In the aspect of cognitive engagement, the obtained percentage is 76.40% with very good criteria. Some reasons for student involvement in the implementation of microlearning media include the presentation method, the form of the media, and the duration presented in the microlearning media. The students' technical readiness to accept microlearning media, such as skills in using communication devices, the internet, and learning applications, may be factors supporting student engagement.
