Abstract
Penggunaan media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran kognitif siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak dari penggunaan Puzzle Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia terhadap hasil pembelajaran kognitif siswa Kelas IX di SMAN 14 Jakarta, menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen non-equivalent control group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas XI Geografi 1, yang menerapkan media pembelajaran Puzzle Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia, berhasil meningkatkan rata-rata hasil belajar kognitif terkait keanekaragaman flora dan fauna di Indonesia sebesar 8,01 poin berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Di sisi lain, kelas XI Geografi 2 yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional hanya mengalami peningkatan sebesar 2,88 poin dalam hasil belajar kognitif yang sama. Uji perbedaan rata-rata antara kedua kelas ini menunjukkan nilai Signifikansi sebesar 0,024 yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran Puzzle Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif mengenai keanekaragaman flora dan fauna di Indonesia. This study investigates the impact of the Indonesia Biodiversity Puzzle on the cognitive learning outcomes of Class IX students at SMAN 14 Jakarta, employing a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group design. Analysis of two sample classes revealed significant findings: in XI Geography 1, where the Indonesia Biodiversity Puzzle was implemented, there was an average increase of 8.01 points in learning outcomes related to Indonesia's biodiversity material, as measured from pre-test to post-test results. In contrast, XI Geography 2, utilizing conventional methods, saw a more modest increase of 2.88 points in cognitive learning outcomes on the same topic. The difference between the class averages was statistically significant (Independent Sample T-Test, Sig = 0.024), indicating that the application of the Indonesia Biodiversity Puzzle positively influences cognitive learning outcomes concerning Indonesia's biodiversity.
