Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya salah satu kendala yang dijumpai dalam nail art yaitu bentuk kuku yang tidak ideal sehingga menyulitkan teknisi kuku untuk melukis kuku klien, hal ini mendorong munculnya nail extension sebagai solusi. Kuku yang hanya menggunakan nail extension saja kurang cukup untuk menutupi ketidaksempurnaan pada kuku, maka dibutuhkan nail art untuk membantu menutupi kekurangan pada kuku. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil nail art dua dimensi (2D) pada nail extension polygel dan acrylic powder. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimental. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 5 orang, 5 jari kanan menggunakan nail extension polygel dan 5 jari kiri menggunakan nail extension acrylic powder. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi dengan lembar pengamatan yang diberi penilaian oleh 3 juri ahli. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah t-test independent sample test dengan bantuan SPSS 29. Dari hasil penelitian didapat nilai rata-rata kelompok A (hasil nail art 2D pada extension polygel) sebesar 24,20 dan nilai rata-rata kelompok B ( hasil nail art 2D pada extension acrylic powder) sebesar 18,67. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis didapat p value = 0,017 pada taraf signifikan = 0,05 dan derajat perbedaan (dk) = 8, maka p value < α 0,05. Artinya hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak. Dengan demikian terdapat perbedaan hasil nail art dua dimensi (2D) pada nail extension polygel dan acrylic powder. ***** This research is motivated by one of the obstacles encountered in nail art, namely the shape of nails that are not ideal, making it difficult for nail technicians to paint clients' nails, this has prompted the emergence of nail extensions as a solution. Nails that only use nail extensions are not enough to cover imperfections in the nails, so nail art is needed to help cover deficiencies in the nails. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the results of two-dimensional (2D) nail art on nail extension polygel and acrylic powder. This type of research is quasi-experimental. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The number of samples was 5 people, 5 right fingers using nail extension polygel and 5 left fingers using nail extension acrylic powder. The data collection method uses observation techniques with observation sheets that are rated by 3 expert judges. The data analysis technique used was t-test independent sample test with the help of SPSS 29. From the results of the study, the average value of group A (2D nail art results on polygel extension) was 24.20 and the average value of group B (2D nail art results on acrylic powder extension) was 18.67. From the results of hypothesis testing, the p value = 0.017 at a significant level = 0.05 and the degree of difference (dk) = 8, then the p value < α 0.05. This means that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus there are differences in the results of two-dimensional nail art (2D) on nail extension polygel and acrylic powder.
