Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan data estetika terhadap lima produk tote bag dengan aplikasi hiasan teknik slashing berdasarkan teori estetika menurut A.A.M Djelantik yang meliputi tiga aspek penilaian, yaitu aspek wujud atau rupa yang meliputi penerapan unsur desain dan prinsip desain, aspek bobot atau isi yang meliputi penyampaian gagasan atau ide, dan aspek penampilan atau penyajian yang meliputi penerapan sarana atau media. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental jenis one shot case study. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket campuran. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 18 pernyataan dengan skala pengukuran rating scale yang dibagikan kepada 5 orang panelis ahli di bidangnya. Hasil penelitian estetika teknik slashing pada produk tote bag diperoleh hasil skor keseluruhan sebesar 91,4 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Aspek estetika yang memperoleh skor tertinggi adalah aspek penampilan atau penyajian dengan perolehan skor sebesar 93,3 yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Sedangkan produk yang memperoleh skor tertinggi adalah produk 2 dengan perolehan skor sebesar 92,2% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa aspek estetika wujud atau rupa, bobot atau isi, dan penampilan atau penyajian yang sesuai dengan teori estetika A.A.M Djelantik sudah sangat baik dalam penerapannya pada produk tote bag dengan teknik slashing. ***** This study aims to obtain aesthetic data on five tote bag products with the application of slashing technique decoration based on aesthetic theory according to A.A.M Djelantik which includes three aspects of assessment, namely the aspect of form or appearance which includes the application of design elements and design principles, the aspect of weight or content which includes the delivery of ideas or ideas, and the aspect of appearance or presentation which includes the application of facilities or media. The research method uses a quantitative pre-experimental design of the one shot case study type. The data collection technique uses a mixed questionnaire. The instrument in this study consisted of 18 statements with a rating scale measurement scale which was distributed to 5 expert panelists in their fields. The results of the aesthetic research of the slashing technique on tote bag products obtained an overall score of 91.4 which is included in the very good category. The aesthetic aspect that received the highest score was the aspect of appearance or presentation with a score of 93.3 which was included in the very good category. Meanwhile, the product that received the highest score was product 2 with a score of 92.2% which was included in the very good category. This shows that the aesthetic aspects of form or appearance, weight or content, and appearance or presentation in accordance with A.A.M Djelantik's aesthetic theory are very good in its application to tote bag products with slashing techniques.
