Abstract
Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses dasar IPA peserta didik kelas V SD dengan menggunakan model problem based learning. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V SDN Rawamangun 02 Pagi Jakarta Timur sebanyak 30 orang. PTK ini menggunakan desain dari Kemmis & McTaggart yang terdiri dari dua siklus dengan perencanaan ulang yang berisi perbaikan terhadap siklus I. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi terhadap keterampilan proses dasar IPA peserta didik dan aktivitas guru serta peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran menggunakan model problem based learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan proses dasar IPA pada siklus I sebanyak 19 peserta didik atau 63% mencapai kategori baik, kemudian aktivitas peserta didik selama pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning pada siklus I menunjukkan persentase 65%. Pada siklus II keterampilan proses dasar IPA mengalami peningkatan yang menunjukkan sebanyak 26 peserta didik atau 86% mencapai kategori baik. Kemudian aktivitas peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran dengan model problem based learning menunjukkan persentase 95%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model problem based learning dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses dasar IPA peserta didik kelas V SD. ***** process skills of fifth grade elementary school students by using a problem based learning model. The subjects of this research were 30 class V students at SDN Rawamangun 02 Pagi, East Jakarta. This research uses a design from Kemmis & McTaggart which consists of two cycles with re-planning containing improvements to cycle I. Data collection uses observation techniques on students' basic science process skills and teacher and student activities during the learning process using a problem based learning model. . The research results showed that 19 students or 63% of the basic science process skills in science in cycle I reached the good category, then student activity during learning with the problem based learning model in cycle I showed a percentage of 65%. In cycle II, basic science process skills experienced an increase, showing that 26 students or 86% reached the good category. Then student activity during the learning process using the problem based learning model shows a percentage of 95%. These results indicate that the application of the problem based learning model in learning can improve the basic science process skills of fifth grade elementary school students.
