Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap student engagement pada mata pelajara Front Office. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif asosiatif dan pengambilan data pada bulan Juni 2024. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebar kuesioner. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SMK Negeri 66 Jakarta, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 90 responden dengan kriteria siswa jurusan perhotelan yang belajar mata pelajaran Front Office yang dipilih dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Motivasi Belajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap Student Engagement pada mata pelajaran Front Office di SMK. Artinya, semakin tinggi Motivasi Belajar yang dimiliki seorang siswa, semakin tinggi juga Student Engagementnya. Penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa Motivasi Belajar memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap Student Engagement pada mata pelajaran Front Office. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of learning motivation on student engagement in Front Office subjects. The research method uses an associative quantitative approach and data collection in June 2024. The research was conducted by distributing questionnaires. The population in this study were students of SMK Negeri 66 Jakarta, with a sample size of 90 respondents with the criteria of students majoring in hospitality who studied Front Office subjects selected by Simple Random Sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that Learning Motivation has a positive and significant effect on Student Engagement in Front Office subjects at SMK. That is, the higher the Learning Motivation a student has, the higher the Student Engagement. This study also shows that Learning Motivation has a significant impact on Student Engagement in Front Office subjects.
