Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model pembelajaran controversial public issues terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dalam materi Ancaman, Tantangan, Hambatan, dan gangguan pada elemen Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pre-test dan Post-test Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini melibatkan sampel sebanyak 72 siswa dari jumlah populasi kelas sebanyak 283 siswa pada kelas XI di SMA Negeri 45 Jakarta. Sample ini diperoleh dari penerapan nonprobaility sampling dengan jenis purposive sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitin ini berupa tes uraian. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini diperoleh dengan melihat nilai signifikansi pada uji Independent Sample T-Test dan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,05. Nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh ialah sebesar 0,048 lebih kecil dari taraf siginifikansi 0,05. Sehingga, penelitian ini memiliki kesimpulan yaitu terdapat pengaruh dari model pembelajaran controversial public issues terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Besaran pengaruh berdasarkan perhitungan rumus Cohen’s sebesar 0,474 dengan kategori pengaruh kecil (small effect). ***** This study aims to examine the influence of the controversial public issues learning model on students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila education, specifically on the topic of Threats, Challenges, Obstacles, and Disruptions related to the elements of the NKRI (Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia). This research uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach and a Pre-test and Post-test Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study involves a sample of 72 students from a total population of 283 students in class XI at SMA Negeri 45 Jakarta. The sample was obtained using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. The instrument used in this study was an essay test. The conclusion of this study was drawn by examining the significance value in the Independent Sample T-Test with a significance level of 0.05. The obtained significance value was 0.048, less than the significance level of 0.05. Therefore, the study concludes that there is an influence of the controversial public issues learning model on students' critical thinking skills. The magnitude of the impact, calculated using Cohen’s formula, is 0.474, categorized as a small effect.
