Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran tambahan video pendek vertikal mata kuliah metodologi penelitian. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif metode komparatif (eksperimen) jenis quasi eksperimental bentuk randomized pretest-posttest control group design. Penelitian menggunakan sampel jenuh karena berasal dari mahasiswa yang sedang mengambil mata kuliah Metodologi Penelitian semester genap di Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta berjumlah 81 orang yang dibagi menjadi dua kelas, yaitu eksperimen dan kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan pretest-posttest dan angket kuesioner penilaian kepuasan pengguna, dimana terdapat treatment tambahan yang diberikan saat proses pembelajaran pada kelas eksperimen yaitu video pendek vertikal. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan statistik parametrik dan non-parametrik, yaitu Uji T dan Mann-Whitney U Test, didapatkan bahwa nilai thitung > ttabel dan Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) < ∝_(tabel )0,05); yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kedua kelas. Efektivitas Video Pendek Vertikal dibuktikan dengan hasil uji N-Gain yang termasuk dalam kategori cukup efektif dengan persentase interval N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 57% - 75%, sedangkan kelas kontrol hanya sebesar 37% - 47%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 63,80% juga didukung dengan rata-rata penilaian hasil angket kuesioner kepuasan pengguna sebesar 82,45% pada kelas eksperimen yang diberikan treatment penggunaan video pendek vertikal, dibandingkan kelas kontrol yang tidak diberikan treatment. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa video pendek vertikal yang dijadikan media pembelajaran tambahan khususnya pada materi teknik analisis data kuantitatif dalam mata kuliah Metodologi Penelitian terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar, meskipun video tersebut masih memiliki kekurangan yang perlu diperbaiki.**********This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using additional learning media vertical short videos in research methodology courses. The research method uses descriptive quantitative comparative method (experiment) type of quasi-experimental form randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The study used a saturated sample because it came from students who were taking even semester Research Methodology courses at Building Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta total 81 people who were divided into two classes, namely experimental and control. Data collection using pretest-posttest and user satisfaction assessment questionnaire, where there is an additional treatment given during the learning process in the experimental class, namely vertical short video. Hypothesis testing in this study used parametric and non-parametric statistics, namely the T Test and Mann-Whitney U Test, it was found that the value of tcount > ttable and Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) < ∝table (0.05); which means there is a significant difference in the two classes. The effectiveness of the Vertical Short Video is evidenced by the results of the N-Gain test, which is included in the moderately effective category with the percentage of the N-Gain interval in the experimental class of 57% - 75%, while the control class is only 37% - 47%. The results showed that there was an increase in the average learning outcomes of 63.80%, also supported by the average rating of the results of the user satisfaction questionnaire of 82.45% in the experimental class given the treatment of using vertical short videos compared to the control class which was not given the treatment. This proves that vertical short videos, used as additional learning media, especially in quantitative data analysis techniques in the Research Methodology course, have proven to be effective in improving learning outcomes, although the videos still have shortcomings that need to be corrected.
