Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana supervisi akademik melalui teknik coaching dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Yahya, dengan fokus pada empat tahapan utama: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penyajian data yaitu deskriptif analitis. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi langsung, dan analisis dokumen dari kepala sekolah, guru, dan manajemen sumberdaya manusia. Pada tahap perencanaan, kepala sekolah menyusun tujuan dan langkah strategis, penyiapan instrumen, serta penjadwalan. Tahap pelaksanaan mencakup pra-observasi, observasi, dan pasca-observasi. Tahap evaluasi mencakup pembuatan laporan dan penyerahan laporan kepada manajemen sumberdaya manusia. Tahap tindak lanjut mencakup berbagai macam peningkatan kompetensi sesuai dengan hasil supervisi akademik melalui teknik coaching. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik melalui teknik coaching membantu guru untuk memahami tujuan pendidikan, dan juga membantu dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional. Supervisi akademik melalui teknik coaching juga membantu kepala sekolah untuk memahami secara akurat mengenai kebutuhan guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran, sehingga memudahkan kepala sekolah merancang berbagai macam program peningkatan kompetensi profesional tepat sesuai dengan sasaran kebutuhan guru tersebut. ABSTRACT This research aims to explain how academic supervision through coaching techniques enhances the professional competence of teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Yahya, focusing on four main stages: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical data presentation method. Data are collected through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving school principals, teachers, and human resource management. In the planning stage, the school principal formulates objectives and strategic steps, prepares instruments, and schedules activities. The implementation phase includes pre-observation, observation, and post-observation. The evaluation stage involves report creation and submission to human resource management. The follow-up stage encompasses various competency enhancements based on the results of academic supervision through coaching. The research findings indicate that academic supervision via coaching helps teachers understand educational goals and contributes to improving professional competence. Additionally, it assists school principals in accurately understanding teachers’ needs during instructional implementation, facilitating the design of targeted professional development programs.
