Abstract

Penelitian ini menilai estetika dari modifikasi motif batik banten pada motif printing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan pre-experimental, yaitu one-shot case study. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument angket yang diberikan kepada panelis ahli untuk menilai, dengan variabel tunggal yaitu penilaian estetika modifikasi motif batik Banten, serta indicator kerumitan (complexity) dan kesatuan (unity) menggunakan sub-indikator unsur dan prinsip desain. Penilaian diukur menggunakan data interval (rating scale), penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian pada sub-indikator kerumitan (complexity) meraih nilai dengan persentase 90.08 hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa warna, intensitas chroma, gradasi, kontras bentuk dalam modifikasi motif batik Banten pada motif printing sudah sangat baik. Pada indikator kesatuan (unity) mendapatkan nilai persentase 88 yang menunjukkan bahwa harmoni, irama, garis dan bentuk yang ada dalam modifikasi motif batik Banten pada motif printing sudah dipadukan dengan sangat baik. Motif 5 (sadulur) mendepatkan persentase nilai tertinggi yaitu 90,76, penggunaan warna yang seimbang antara warna vibrant dan warna netral menimbulkan sifat selaras dan padu dengan sangat baik. ***** This study evaluates the aesthetics of modified Banten batik motifs on printed motifs. The research method used is quantitative with a pre-experimental approach, specifically a one-shot case study. Data collection techniques involve using a questionnaire instrument given to expert panelists for assessment, with a single variable being the aesthetic evaluation of modified Banten batik motifs, and indicators of complexity and unity using sub-indicators of design elements and principles. The evaluation is measured using interval data (rating scale), and this study employs descriptive statistical data analysis techniques. The results of the study on the complexity sub-indicator achieved a score with a percentage of 90.08, indicating that the color, chroma intensity, gradation, and shape contrast in the modified Banten batik motifs on the printed motifs are excellent. The unity indicator received a percentage score of 88, showing that the harmony, rhythm, lines, and shapes in the modified Banten batik motifs on the printed motifs have been very well integrated. Motif 5 (sadulur) received the highest percentage score of 90.76, indicating that the balanced use of vibrant and neutral colors creates a very harmonious and cohesive appearance.
