Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh work-study conflict terhadap student engagement pada mahasiswa yang bekerja. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 266 mahasiswa S1 di Indonesia yang sedang aktif bekerja. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling dengan metode purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan regresi linear sederhana. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert. Alat ukur menggunakan Skala Student Engagement oleh Nilna Mafaza, Fajar Kawuryan, dan Ridwan Budi Pramono tahun 2021 dan Skala Work-Study Conflict oleh Rizky Rahmatul Zamarni tahun 2022. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh negatif dan signifikan dari work-study conflict terhadap student engagement pada mahasiswa yang bekerja. Artinya, jika work-study conflict menurun, maka student engagement meningkat. Variabel work-study conflict berkontribusi terhadap student engagement sebesar 42,7%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 57,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. Mayoritas partisipan berada pada kategori student engagement yang tinggi dan work-study conflict yang rendah. Kata Kunci : Student Engagement, Work-Study Conflict, Mahasiswa yang Bekerja.***** This research aims to determine the effect of work-study conflict on student engagement in working students. The subjects of this research were 266 undergraduate students in Indonesia who were actively working. Sampling used a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling method. The research method used is a quantitative method with simple linear regression. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The measuring tool uses the Student Engagement Scale by Nilna Mafaza, Fajar Kawuryan, and Ridwan Budi Pramono in 2021 and the Work-Study Conflict Scale by Rizky Rahmatul Zamarni in 2022. The results show that there is a negative and significant influence of work-study conflict on student engagement in students working. This means that if work-study conflict decreases, student engagement increases. The work-study conflict variable contributed to student engagement by 42.7%, while the remaining 57.3% was influenced by other factors not examined in this research. The majority of partisipants were in the category of high student engagement and low work-study conflict. Keywords : Student Engagement, Work-Study Conflict, Working Students.
