Abstract

Kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin di sekolah diberi wewenang untuk menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan tertentu untuk mencapai visi dan misi sekolah. Pemimpin dengan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional akan memberikan arah dan kebijakan sekolah yang jelas untuk mengelola dan menggerakkan komponen di sekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas sekolah, salah satunya adalah komitmen guru. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dari segi dimensi Idealized Influence (Pengaruh Ideal), Inspirational Motivation (Motivasi Inspirasi), Intellectual Stimulation (Stimulasi Intelektual), dan Individual Consideration (Pertimbangan Individual) dalam membangun komitmen guru dari segi dimensi Commitment to Student (Komitmen untuk Siswa), Commitment to Teaching (Komitmen untuk Mengajar), Commitment to Workplace (Komitmen untuk Tempat Kerja), dan Commitment to Profession (Komitmen untuk Profesi) di SMA Labschool Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan, wawancara dengan informan, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menjadi sosok teladan dan pemberi pengaruh, memotivasi dan menginspirasi, mendorong inovasi dan membingkai ulang masalah, serta memprioritaskan pertumbuhan dan pencapaian para pengikutnya. Komitmen guru didorong oleh komitmen mereka terhadap siswa, tempat kerja, pengajaran, dan profesi mereka. Dengan demikian, kepala SMA Labschool Jakarta yang mengimplementasikan kepemimpinan transformasional, dapat membangun komitmen guru. Kata Kunci: Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Kepala Sekolah, Komitmen Guru. ***** The school principal, as a leader in the school, is authorized to apply certain leadership styles in order to achieve the vision and mission of the school. Principals with a transformational leadership style will provide clear directions and school policies for managing and mobilizing the components in the school to improve school quality, one of which is teachers' commitment. This study aims to determine the transformational leadership of school principals in terms of the dimensions of idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration in building teacher commitment in terms of the dimensions of commitment to student, commitment to teaching, commitment to workplace, and commitment to profession at SMA Labschool Jakarta. The research method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews with informants, and documentation studies. The results of this study show that the principal becomes a role model and influencer, motivates and inspires, encourages innovation and reframing of problems, and prioritizes the growth and achievement of his teachers. Teachers' commitment is driven by their commitment to students, the workplace, teaching, and their profession. Thus, the principal of SMA Labschool Jakarta, who implements transformational leadership, can build teacher commitment. Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Principal, Teacher Commitment.
