Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian hasil penilaian produk busana anak dengan teknik contoured tucks. Penilaian ini menggunakan teori produk W.H Mayall. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode Eksperimen, dan menggunakan jenis Pre-Experimental, desain One Shot Case Study dengan menggunakan satu variabel tunggal yaitu berupa penilaian produk busana anak dengan teknik contoured tucks. Indikator penilaian pada penelitian ini meliputi: hasil yang maksimal, penampilan yang menarik, dan mudah dipelihara. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket kepada 5 panelis ahli di bidang busana. Data perolehan menyatakan bahwa penilaian produk busana anak dengan teknik contoured tucks berdasarkan indikator hasil yang maksimal mendapatkan nilai sebesar 88,16%, penilaian berdasarkan penampilan yang menarik mendapatkan nilai sebesar 90,4%, dan mudah memelihara 89,2%. Sehingga, penilaian produk busana anak dengan teknik contoured tucks berada pada kategori “sangat baik”. Dengan demikian melalui penelitian ini dapat menjadi salah satu sumber ilmu mengenai penerapan contoured tucks pada busana anak Kata Kunci: Teori Produk, Busana Anak, Contoured Tucks, Manipulasi Kain ***** This research aims to determine the suitability of the result of the assessment product of children’s wear with contoured tucks technique. This assessment uses W.H Mayall’s product theory. The research methodology used is quantitative research with experimental methods, pre-experimental type, one shoot case study design using single variable in the form of childern’s wear product assessment with contoured tucks techniques. Uses indicator maximum results, appealing appearance, and easy to maintance. Questionnaires used as form of data collecton from five expert panelists. The final data results that the assessment of children’s wear with the contoured tucks techniques obtain score 88,16% for maximum results, 90,4% for appealing appearance, 89,2% for indicator of easy to maintance and get an “excellent” category. Therefore, with this conducted research it is hoped that the research can become source of knowledge to apply contoured tucks for the children’s wear.
