Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran membaca permulaan siswa tunarungu kelas 1-3 di SDLBN 7 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan informan penelitian adalah guru kelas 1-3. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi data. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru mengajarkan membaca permulaan siswa hambatan pendengaran dengan MMR dan beberapa metode tambahan serta media pembelajaran yang beragam. Tahapan membaca permulaan pada siswa dengan hambatan pendengaran antara lain adalah percakapan atau perdati, visualisasi, deposit, percami (membaca dengan lengkung frase, identifikasi langsung dan tidak langsung) dan latihan refleksi. Pada tahap percakapan atau perdati guru menggunakan metode role playing dan media gambar, foto, pias kata, benda sungguhan dan video. Pada tahap visualisasi guru menggunakan metode tanya jawab. Pada tahap latihan refleksi guru menggunakan media gambar. Penilaian dilakukan secara lisan dan tertulis. Aspek dalam penilaian adalah aspek pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Dengan demikian Penggunaan MMR, role playing, tanya jawab, dan media yang beragam memudahkan siswa tunarungu dalam belajar membaca. ***** This research aims to describe the early reading instruction for hearing-impaired students in grades 1-3 at SDLBN 7 Jakarta. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method, with the informants being teachers of grades 1-3. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data validity was ensured through data triangulation. Data analysis techniques involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research indicate that teachers teach early reading to hearing-impaired students using MMR and several additional methods, along with diverse learning media. The stages of early reading for students with hearing impairments include conversation or perdati, visualization, deposit, percami (reading with phrase curves, direct and indirect identification), and reflection exercises. In the conversation or perdati stage, teachers use role-playing methods and media such as pictures, photos, word cards, real objects, and videos. In the visualization stage, teachers use question-and-answer methods. During the reflection exercise stage, teachers use picture media. Assessment is conducted both orally and in writing, focusing on knowledge and skills aspects. Thus, the use of MMR, role-playing, question-and-answer, and diverse media facilitates hearing-impaired students in learning to read.
