Abstract

*****ABSTRAK***** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap inferioritas dalam novel "Bidayah wa Nihayah" karya Naguib Mahfouz. Hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan Studi Psikologi Sastra khususnya pada kajian inferioritas serta dapat diimplementasikan dalam pengajaran sastra di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan analisis isi melalui metode kepustakaan. Fokus penelitian ini adalah inferioritas tokoh perempuan dalam novel “Bidayah wa Nihayah” karya Naguib Mahfouz. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tabel klasifikasi untuk mengidentifikasi, menentukan, mengklasifikasi, menganalisis Inferioritas yang ada. Data yang diperoleh peneliti dalam novel ini menunjukkan inferioritas psikologis pada tiga karakter perempuan (Samira, Nafisa, Bahia) yang terdapat dalam dua puluh lima temuan (kurang percaya diri muncul dalam delapan temuan, perasaan diabaikan muncul dalam enam temuan, dan ketidakberdayaan muncul dalam sebelas temuan). Sebanyak dua puluh tiga kasus disebabkan oleh keadaan tak terduga, sementara dua kasus disebabkan oleh perasaan diabaikan yang dialami oleh karakter perempuan dalam novel tersebut. *****ABSTRACT***** This study aims to reveal the inferiority in the novel "Bidayah wa Nihayah" by Naguib Mahfouz. The results of this research are intended to serve as a reference for the development of Literary Psychology studies, particularly in the field of inferiority and to be implemented in the teaching of literature in the Arabic Language Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. This study is qualitative research using descriptive method with content analysis method. The focus of this research is the inferiority of female characters in the novel “Bidayah wa Nihayah” by Naguib Mahfouz. Data analysis in this research uses a classification table to identify, determine, classify, and analyze the inferiority found in it. The data obtained by the researcher in this novel consists of psychological inferiority feelings in three female characters (Samira, Nafisa, Bahia) across twenty-five instances (lack of self-confidence appears in eight instances, feelings of being neglected in six instances, and helplessness in eleven instances). Twenty-three cases are attributed to unexpected circumstances, while two cases are attributed to feelings of neglect experienced by the female characters in the novel.
