Abstract

Candi Borobudur merupakan kuil Budha terbesar di dunia dan masuk kedalam salah satu dari lima destinasi super prioritas yang digagas oleh kemenparekraf. Candi Borobudur terdiri dari 10 tingkatan dengan stupa induk pada tingkat atas, 72 stupa, 505 patung Budha, dan 1460 relief. Relief yang terdapat pada Candi Borobudur mempunyai kisah yang berbeda di setiap panilnya, dan pahatan pada relief candi ini terbagi menjadi dua yaitu relief hias dan relief naratif yang mengandung cerita. Salah satu cerita pada pahatannya terdapat cerita dan filosofi dari hewan endemik, terdapat pula motif ragam hias pada relief hias. Untuk mengenal hewan endemik dan motif ragam dengan cara yang menarik maka peneliti memilih kegiatan doodling dengan media activity book. Activity book ini dirancang untuk anak usia 14-25 tahun. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan design thinking. Perolehan data pada penelitian ini melalui kuesioner, wawancara, observasi, hingga tahap uji coba kepada calon pengguna. Hasil penelitian ini telah diuji coba kepada reponden sesuai target umur dan telah melalui tahapan validasi narasumber ahli bahasa, ahli desain buku aktivitas dan Kemenparekraf. **** Borobudur Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the world and is one of the five super priority destinations initiated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Borobudur Temple consists of 10 levels with the main stupa on the upper level, 72 stupas, 505 Buddha statues, and 1460 reliefs. The reliefs on Borobudur Temple have different stories on each panel, and the carvings on the reliefs of this temple are divided into two, namely decorative reliefs and narrative reliefs that contain stories. One of the stories on the carvings contains the story and philosophy of endemic animals, there are also decorative motifs on the decorative reliefs. To get to know endemic animals and motifs in an interesting way, the researcher chose a doodling activity with activity book media. This activity book is designed for children aged 14-25 years. The data collection method used is a qualitative method with a design thinking approach. Data acquisition in this study was through questionnaires, interviews, observations, to the trial stage for prospective users. The results of this study have been tested on respondents according to the target age and have gone through the validation stage of language expert sources, activity book design experts and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
