Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V di SDN Manggarai 01 melalui penggunaan strategi PORPE (predict, organize, rehearse, practice, evaluate). Penelitian tindakan kelas model Kurt Lewin digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang dilaksanakan selama dua siklus. Setiap siklus meliputi empat proses, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 29 orang anggota kelas VB SDN Manggarai 01. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun akademik 2023–2024. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan membaca pemahaman melalui strategi PORPE di mana hasil pra-siklus menunjukkan rata-rata 31% dengan 9 peserta didik tuntas. Pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 62,1% dengan 18 peserta didik tuntas. Meningkat lagi pada siklus II menjadi 82,7 % dengan 24 peserta didik tuntas. Kesimpulan dari hasil analisis adalah strategi predict, organize, rehearse, practice, evaluate (PORPE) dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas V-B di SDN Manggarai 01. ***** This study aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of grade V students at SDN Manggarai 01 through the PORPE (predict, organize, rehearse, practice, evaluate) strategy. The Kurt Lewin model of classroom action research was used in this study which was conducted over two cycles. Each cycle includes four processes, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 29 members of class VB of SDN Manggarai 01. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Research data were obtained through tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed an increase in reading comprehension skills through the PORPE strategy where pre-cycle results showed an average of 31% with 9 students complete. In cycle I it increased to 62.1% with 18 students achieving a score of 75 or above students complete. It was increased again in cycle II to 82.7% with 24 students achieving the score. The conclusion from the analysis is that the predict, organize, rehearse, practice, evaluate (PORPE) strategy in learning Indonesian can improve the reading comprehension skills of V-B grade students at SDN Manggarai 01.
