Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk peserta didik kelas I di SDN Guntur 01 Jakarta Selatan dengan menggunakan metode SAS (Struktur Analitik Sintetik). Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan didapatkan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas IA tergolong rendah. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara guru kelas IA bahwa rendahnya kemampuan peserta didik dalam membaca permulaan ditandai dengan kesulitan peserta didik dalam membaca lancar dan tidak mengenal huruf-huruf, membaca masih dieja, dan ketepatan pelafalan ejaan juga tidak tepat. Kemudian, berdasarkan hasil pre-test yang telah dilakukan, didapatkan hasil bahwa dari 24 peserta didik hanya terdapat 9 peserta didik yang mendapatkan nilai ≥ 75 dengan rata-rata nilai seluruh peserta didik yaitu 66.3 Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan model Kemmis & Mc. Taggart. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini melalui tes, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa pada siklus I diperoleh rata-rata hasil tes lisan membaca sebesar 76.3 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 62.5% dan siklus II diperoleh skor sebesar 85.4 dengan persentase ketuntasan sebesar 87.5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode SAS (Struktur Analitik Sintetik) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan peserta didik kelas I di SDN Guntur 01 Jakarta Selatan. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan; membaca permulaan; Bahasa Indonesia; SAS (Struktur Analitik Sintetik); Kelas I SD ************* This research aims to improve initial reading skills in Indonesian language learning for class I students at SDN Guntur 01 South Jakarta using the SAS (Synthetic Analytical Structure) method. Based on preliminary studies, it was found that the initial reading ability of class IA students was relatively low. Based on the results of interviews with class IA teachers, the low ability of students in initial reading is characterized by students' difficulty in reading fluently and not recognizing letters, reading is still spelled, and the accuracy of spelling pronunciation is also incorrect. Then, based on the results of the pre-test that was carried out, the result was that out of 24 students, only 9 students got a score ≥ 75 with the average score of all students, namely 66.3 This research is classroom action research (PTK) with using the Kemmis & Mc model. Taggart. Data collection techniques in this research were tests, interviews and observations. The research results showed that in cycle I, the average oral reading test result was 76.3. with a completion percentage of 62.5% and in cycle II, a score of 85.4 was obtained with a completion percentage of 87.5%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the application of the SAS (Synthetic Analytical Structure) method can improve the beginning reading ability of class I students at SDN Guntur 01, South Jakarta.
