Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatahui pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran project based learning terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian posttest only nonequivalent groups design. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas III di SDN Bendungan Hilir 01, Kelurahan Bendungan Hilir, Jakarta Pusat. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dari populasi yang ditetapkan yaitu SD Negeri di Kelurahan Bendungan Hilir. Terdapat dua rombongan belajar yang terpilih yaitu kelas III-C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas III-B sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas ekperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan model instrumen berupa soal pilihan ganda. Instrumen tersebut diuji normalitas dan homogenitas sebagai uji persyaratan data. Kemudian dilakukan analisis hipotesis menggunakan uji-t dengan menggunakan rumus independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran project based learning memiliki oengaruuh terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas III SD. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis dengan perolehan nilai thitung (2,41) > ttabel (1,674). Selain itu, skor rata-rata hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari pada hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol yaitu 53,03 > 43,43. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu memilih model pembelajaran yang tepat untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa. ***** This research aims to determine the effect of using the project based learning model on the science learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students. This research uses a quantitative experimental method with a posttest only nonequivalent groups design. The sample in this study was all class III at SDN Bendungan Hilir 01, Bendungan Hilir Village, Central Jakarta. Sampling used a simple random sampling technique from a determined population, namely State Elementary Schools in Bendungan Hilir Village. There were two study groups selected, namely class III-C as the experimental class and class III-B as the control class. The experimental class uses a project based learning model, while the control class uses an expository learning model. Data collection was carried out using an instrument model in the form of multiple choice questions. The instrument was tested for normality and homogeneity as a test of data requirements. Then hypothesis analysis was carried out using the t�test using the independent sample t test formula. The results of the research show that the project based learning model has an impact on the science learning outcomes of third grade elementary school students. This is proven by the results of the hypothesis test with the value tcount (2.41) > ttable (1.674). Apart from that, the average score for science learning outcomes for experimental class students was greater than the learning outcomes for control class students, namely 53.03 > 43.43. Therefore, teachers need to choose the right learning model to improve students' science learning outcomes.
