Abstract
Kesimpulannya pendekatan STEAM lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran gerak dasar manipulatif dibanding pendekatan konvensional Kata Kunci: pendekatan STEAM, pendekatan konvensional, gerak dasar manipulatif, sekolah dasar, pendidikan jasmani ***** This research aims to compare the effectiveness of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approach and conventional approaches in learning basic manipulative movements in elementary school students. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of students from class IV A and class IV B with a total population of 60 students selected using purposive sampling. Data was collected through basic movement skills tests. The analysis results show that the STEAM approach is significantly more effective in improving basic manipulative movement skills with an average score of 39.93 compared to the conventional approach with an average score of 24.93. This is in line with the hypothesis that there are differences in average learning outcomes with the two approaches. In conclusion, the STEAM approach is more effective in improving learning of basic manipulative movements compared to conventional approaches Keywords: STEAM approach, conventional approach, fundamental manipulative movements, elementary school, physical education
