Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui minat mahasiswa menjadi guru pada mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Tata Busana Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta angkatan 2020-2023. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei, penelitian ini melibatkan populasi sebanyak 202 mahasiswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah proportional stratified random sampling, dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 134 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket yang terdiri dari 40 item pernyataan, menggunakan skala Likert untuk pengukuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat mahasiswa Pendidikan Tata Busana untuk menjadi guru cukup tinggi. Berdasarkan indikator kognisi, yaitu pengetahuan mahasiswa terhadap profesi guru, diperoleh persentase sebesar 94%. Indikator afeksi, yang mengukur perasaan senang terhadap profesi guru, menunjukkan persentase 54%. Sementara itu, indikator konasi, yang mencerminkan tindakan, kemauan, dan hasrat untuk menjadi guru, mencapai 52%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Busana Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Jakarta berminat untuk menjadi guru dengan penilaian sebesar 79 %. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pengambil kebijakan dan lembaga pendidikan dalam merancang program yang dapat lebih meningkatkan minat mahasiswa untuk memilih profesi sebagai pendidik *****This study aims to determine students' interest in becoming teachers in students of the Fashion Cosmetology Education study program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta class of 2020-2023. Using a descriptive quantitative approach with a survey method, this study involved a population of 202 students. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling, with 134 students as respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire consisting of 40 statement items, using a Likert scale for measurement. The results showed that the interest of Cosmetology Education students to become teachers is quite high. Based on cognition indicators, namely student knowledge of the teaching profession, a percentage of 94% was obtained. The affection indicator, which measures feelings of pleasure towards the teaching profession, shows a percentage of 54%. Meanwhile, the conation indicator, which reflects the action, willingness, and desire to become a teacher, reached 52%. It can be concluded that students of the Fashion Design Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta are interested in becoming teachers with an assessment of 79%. This research is expected to provide insight for policy makers and educational institutions in designing programs that can further increase student interest in choosing a profession as an educator.
