Abstract

ABSTRAK ADJENG MAYANG TRIANA. 2019. Struktur Morfologi dari Cerita Klasik Giambatistta Basile dan Grimm Bersaudara. Program Studi Sastra Inggris, Fakultas Bahasa dan Seni, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Skripsi ini meneliti tentang 1) fungsi dramatis 2) lingkungan tindakan di dalam cerita 3) persamaan dan perbedaan dari keenam cerita yang dipilih. Sumber data dalam skripsi ini adalah cerita Rapunzel, Cinderella, dan Hansel dan Gretel oleh Grimm Bersaudara yang diterjemahkan oleh Jack Zipes pada tahun 2014, serta cerita Petrosinella, Cenerentola, dan Nennillo dan Nennella oleh Giambatistta Basile yang diterjemahkan oleh Batsy Bybell pada tahun 2000. Metode interpretatif deskriptif analitis dan teori struktur morfologi oleh Vladimir Propp digunakan untuk menyelidiki perbedaan dan persamaan dari cerita yang sudah dipilih. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1) fungsi dramatis yang muncul dari cerita yang telah dipilih adalah kejahatan, perantaraan, keberangkatan, fungsi pertama donor, reaksi pahlawan, penerimaan alat sakti, perpindahan, pertarungan, penandaan, kemenangan, kekurangan terpenuhi, pengejaran, penyelamatan, tuntutan tidak berdasar, tugas sulit, penyelesaian tugas, pengakuan, pengungkapan, penjelmaan, hukuman, dan pernikahan 2) lingkungan tindakan yang terdapat di dalam cerita terpilih adalah lingkungan tindakan penjahat, lingkungan tindakan donor, lingkungan tindakan penolong, lingkungan tindakan seorang putri raja dan ayahnya, lingkungan tindakan perantara atau pemberangkatan, lingkungan tindakan pahlawan, lingkungan tindakan pahlawan palsu 3) dari 31 fungsi yang ada, terdapat 2 fungsi yang sama yang ada di dalam keenam cerita terpilih, yaitu fungsi kejahatan dan fungsi kekurangan terpenuhi, dan perbedaannya terdapat pada 2 fungsi yang hanya terdapat di ketiga cerita dari Giambatistta Basile, dan tidak terdapat di cerita Grimm Bersaudara, fungsi tersebut adalah fungsi penyelamatan dan fungsi pernikahan. The Morphological Structure of Giambatistta Basile’s and Brothers Grimm’s Classic Fairy Tales. English Literature Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Jakarta. This study investigates 1) dramatis function 2) sphere of actions in the tales 3) the similarities and differences of six chosen fairy tales. The sources for this study are Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel Story by Brothers Grimm, published in translated version by Jack Zipes in 2014, and Petrosinella, Cenerentola, and Nennillo and Nennella story by Giambatistta Basile published in translated version by Batsy Bybell in 2000. Descriptive analytical interpretative method and Vladimir Propp’s theory of morphological structures are used to investigate the differences and similarities between each of the stories. The result of this study shows that 1) the dramatis function of the chosen story are villainy, mediation, departure, first function of the donor, hero’s reaction, receipt of a magical agent. Guidance, struggle, branding, liquidation or resolution, pursuit, rescue, unfounded claims, difficult task, solution, recognition, exposure, transfiguration, punishment and wedding 2) the dramatis function of the chosen stories divided into seven sphere of actions that are, sphere of action of the villain, sphere of action of the donor, sphere of action of the helper, sphere of action of the princess and her father, sphere of action of the dispatcher, sphere of action of the hero, and sphere of action of the false hero 3) from 31 functions, there are 2 similar functions happen in all six chosen stories, the functions are Villainy function and Liquidation or Resolution function, and the differences are, there are 2 functions that only occur in all three stories of Giambatistta Basile and do not occur in Brothers Grimm’s stories, the function are Rescue function and Wedding function.
