Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman matematika pada materi bangun datar melalui model cooperative learning tipe course review horay di kelas V SDN Manggarai 03 Pagi Jakarta Selatan. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman matematika siswa yang disebabkan pembelajaran yang masih berfokus pada guru sehingga siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam menghafalkan rumus dan menyelesaikan soal cerita. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Taggart yang terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SDN Manggarai 03 yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes pemahaman matematika dan lembar observasi tindakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman matematika siswa dari siklus I sebesar 41% (9 siswa mencapai KKM), meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 59% (13 siswa mencapai KKM), dan mencapai 93,13% pada siklus III (20 siswa mencapai KKM). Pemantau tindakan siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I sebesar 76,25%, siklus II sebesar 83,88%, hingga mencapai 95,63% pada siklus III. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe course review horay efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematika siswa pada materi bangun datar. (*****) This research aims to improve mathematical understanding of plane geometry through the Course Review Horay type of cooperative learning model in fifth-grade students at SDN Manggarai 03 Pagi South Jakarta. The background problem of this research is the low mathematical understanding among students due to teacher-centered learning, causing students to have difficulties in memor izing formulas and solving word problems. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Taggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 22 fifth-grade students at SDN Manggarai 03. Data collection was conducted through mathematics comprehension tests and action observation sheets. The results showed an improvement in students' mathematical understanding from Cycle I at 41% (9 students reaching KKM), increasing in Cycle II to 59% (13 students reaching KKM), and achieving 93.13% in Cycle III (20 students reaching KKM). Student action monitoring also increased from 76.25% in Cycle I, to 83.88% in Cycle II, and reached 95.63% in Cycle III. The research findings prove that implementing the Course Review Horay type of cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' mathematical understanding of plane geometry.
