Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kualitas produk menurut (Kotler & Keller, 2012) dan Prinsip desain menurut (Wolfe, 2011), sepatu boots yang dibuat menggunakan teknik slashing dengan memanfaatkan kain sisa produksi. Teknik ini merupakan metode fabric manipulation yang menciptakan efek visual dengan memotong beberapa lapisan kain untuk membentuk tekstur dan pola unik. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre eksperimental one-shot case study, di mana lima produk sepatu boots dinilai oleh panelis ahli menggunakan skala rating 1 hingga 5. Penilaian didasarkan pada teori kualitas produk (Kotler & Keller, 2012) dan prinsip desain (Wolfe, 2011). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk memperoleh skor 86,40%, sedangkan prinsip desain mencapai 83%. Secara keseluruhan, sepatu boots dengan teknik slashing mendapat skor 78%, yang dikategorikan baik. Kesimpulannya, teknik slashing meningkatkan keunikan desain dan mendukung keberlanjutan (sustainability). Penelitian ini memberikan referensi bagi pengembangan sepatu berbasis sustainable fashion. Kata Kunci: sepatu boots, teknik slashing, fabric manipulation, sustainable fashion ************* This study evaluates the quality and aesthetics of boots made using the slashing technique, repurposing fabric waste. This technique is a fabric manipulation method that creates visual effects by cutting multiple fabric layers to form unique textures and patterns. This research method uses quantitative descriptive with a pre-experimental one shot case study reaches design, where five expert panelists assessed five boot designs using a rating scale of 1 to 5. The evaluation was based on product quality theory (Kotler & Keller, 2012) and design principles (Wolfe, 2011).Results show that product quality scored an average of 4.2 (84%), while design principles scored 4.4 (88%). Overall, boots with the slashing technique received an average score of 4.3 (86%), categorized as very good.In conclusion, the slashing technique enhances aesthetics, design uniqueness, and supports sustainability. This study provides a reference for developing upcycled and sustainable fashion footwear. Keywords: boots, slashing technique, fabric manipulation, sustainable fashion.
