Abstract

Hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa kelas VIII MTsN 39 Jakarta masih tergolong rendah, ditunjukkan oleh rata-rata nilai yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Permasalahan ini melatarbelakangi dilakukannya penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh metode Language Immersion terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain posttest-only control group. Posttest, yang terdiri dari 20 soal. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas VIII MTsN 39 Jakarta, yang dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 33 siswa kelas VIII-3 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 33 siswa kelas VIII-4 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penelitian memiliki validitas internal yang baik berdasarkan uji korelasi Pearson, dengan sebagian besar item tes signifikan pada tingkat 0,05 atau 0,01. Uji reliabilitas menggunakan Cronbach's Alpha menghasilkan nilai 0,518, yang tergolong reliabilitas sedang, sehingga instrumen dinilai cukup konsisten untuk penelitian. Uji normalitas menggunakan Kolmogorov-Smirnov dan Shapiro-Wilk menunjukkan bahwa data hasil belajar dari kedua kelas berdistribusi normal (p > 0,05). Kelas kontrol memiliki nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,090 dan 0,097, sedangkan kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,200 dan 0,132. Analisis uji-t menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan dalam hasil belajar, dengan nilai uji-t sebesar 3,076 dan p = 0,003 menunjukkan bahwa metode Language Immersion efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode Language Immersion memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Arab siswa kelas VIII MTsN 39 Jakarta. Selain itu, terdapat perbedaan dalam hasil belajar Bahasa Arab antara siswa yang diajar dengan metode Language Immersion dan siswa yang diajar dengan metode tradisional. Siswa yang diajar menggunakan metode Language Immersion mencapai rata-rata nilai 86,36, sedangkan siswa pada kelas kontrol yang diajar dengan metode tradisional memperoleh rata-rata nilai 76,36. Selisih rata-rata nilai sebesar 10 poin ini membuktikan pengaruh metode Language Immersion dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : Metode Language Immersion, Hasil Belajar, Bahasa Arab///The Arabic language learning outcomes of grade VIII students at MTsN 39 Jakarta are still relatively low, as indicated by the average scores that have not reached the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). This issue underlies the conduct of a study aimed at examining the effect of the Language Immersion method on students' Arabic language learning outcomes. This study employed a quasi-experimental approach with a posttest-only control group design. The posttest consisted of 20 questions. The research population comprised grade VIII students at MTsN 39 Jakarta, selected through purposive sampling. The research sample included 33 students from class VIII-3 as the experimental group and 33 students from class VIII-4 as the control group. The data analysis results showed that the research instrument had good internal validity based on Pearson correlation tests, with most test items being significant at the 0.05 or 0.01 level. Reliability testing using Cronbach's Alpha produced a value of 0.518, which is classified as moderate reliability, indicating that the instrument is sufficiently consistent for research purposes. Normality tests using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk indicated that the learning outcomes data from both classes were normally distributed (p > 0.05). The control class had significance values of 0.090 and 0.097, while the experimental class had values of 0.200 and 0.132. The t-test analysis revealed a significant difference in learning outcomes, with a t-test value of 3.076 and p =0.003, indicating that the Language Immersion method is effective in improving students' Arabic learning outcomes. The results of this study demonstrate that the Language Immersion method has a positive effect on the Arabic language learning outcomes of grade VIII students at MTsN 39 Jakarta. Furthermore, there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students taught using the Language Immersion method and those taught using traditional methods. Students taught with the Language Immersion method achieved an average score of 86.36, while students in the control class taught with traditional methods achieved an average score of 76.36. The average score difference of 10 points proves the influence of the Language Immersion method in enhancing students' learning outcomes.
