Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak pengaruh penggunaan metode concept sentence berbantuan media Bamboozle terhadap keterampilan menulis teks pidato siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 101 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control grup desain. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas 8. Dari delapan kelas tersebut peneliti mengambil dua kelas yaitu, kelas 8C sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas 8D sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil pemerolehan data terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Nilai tertinggi 73 pada pretest kelas eksperimen dan nilai terendah 30 dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 53,44, sedangkan nilai tertinggi 93 pada posttest dan nilai terendah 65 dengan nilai rata-rata 79,09. Selisih rata-rata antara nilai pretest dan posttest sebesar 25,65. Pemeroleh data di kelas eksperimen bahwa hasil uji t pada taraf signifikansi α= 0,05, menunjukkan angka 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh penggunaan metode concept sentence berbantuan media Bamboozle terhadap keterampilan menulis teks pidato.***** This research aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of using the concept sentence method assisted by Bamboozle media on the speech text writing skills of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 101 Jakarta. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a pretest-posttest control group research design. The population of this study was all students in class 8. Of the eight classes, the researcher took two classes, namely, class 8C as the experimental class and class 8D as the control class. There are significant differences in the results of data acquisition. The highest score was 73 on the experimental class pretest and the lowest score was 30 with an average score of 53.44, while the highest score was 93 on the posttest and the lowest score was 65 with an average score of 79.09. The average difference between the pretest and posttest scores is 25.65. The data obtained in the experimental class showed that the results of the t test at the significance level α= 0.05, showed that the number 0.000 was smaller than 0.05 so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This shows that there is an influence of using the concept sentence method assisted by Bamboozle media on speech text writing skills.
