Abstract

Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil dari estetika motif ecoprint bunga lili dengan pewarna alam secang. Penelitian ini, menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan pre-eksperimental design, one shoot case study. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket jenis terbuka dan tertutup (campuran) yang dinilai oleh 4 panelis ahli dengan variabel tunggal yaitu penilaian estetika motif bunga lili dengan pewarna alam secang, indikator yang digunakan penelitian yaitu wujud, bobot, dan penampilan yang kemudian diukur menggunakan rating scale. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu menunjukkan bahwa desain yang menggunakan bunga lili dengan pewarnaan secang mendapatkan nilai yang sangat baik pada setiap aspek seperti wujud, bobot dan penampilan berdasarkan nilai estetika menurut A.A.M Djelantik. Pewarnaan menggunakan secang warnanya mudah luruh jika tidak menggunakan tanin sebagai pengunci warna. ***** This study aims to evaluate the aesthetic outcomes of the lily ecoprint motif utilizing natural secang dyes. Employing a quantitative methodology within a pre-experimental design framework, the research centers on a single case study. Data collection was conducted through a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both open and closed questionnaires, which were subsequently assessed by a panel of four experts. The primary variable under investigation is the aesthetic quality of the lily motif produced with natural secang dyes. The indicators for this evaluation included form, weight, and appearance, which were quantified using a rating scale. The findings indicate that the design featuring lilies dyed with secang received excellent ratings across all evaluated aspects (form, weight, and appearance) according to the aesthetic values established by A.A.M Djelantik. Importantly, the results demonstrated that secang exhibited a tendency to fade easily in the absence of tannin as a color fixative.
