Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mekanisme rekrutmen karyawan, pelaksanaan program pelatihan kerja, serta faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan program kerja untuk individu dengan hambatan pendengaran di Burger King Sunset Road Bali. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses rekrutmen melibatkan kerja sama dengan Rehabilitasi Sosial Penyandang Disabilitas Sensorik Rungu Wicara, sebagai penyedia tenaga kerja disabilitas hambatan pendengaran dan memberikan program pemberdayaan untuk calon karyawan. Hasil seleksi awal, sebanyak 40 calon karyawan yang telah mengikuti program pemberdayaan, diterima di Burger King Sunset Road. Program pelatihan kerja untuk karyawan hambatan pendengaran yang baru bergabung di Burger King Sunset Road, mencakup teori dan praktik langsung di lingkungan kerja. Pelaksanaan pelatihan kerja meliputi penyesuaian seperti penggunaan media visual, pendampingan intensif, serta penerjemah bahasa isyarat. Meskipun pelatihan menghasilkan peningkatan keterampilan karyawan, tantangan seperti penggunaan bahasa isyarat perlu dievaluasi lebih lanjut. Pendekatan ini menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang inklusif, meningkatkan keterampilan dan kesetaraan peluang bagi karyawan dengan hambatan pendengaran. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya praktik pelatihan berbasis inklusi sebagai upaya pemberdayaan individu dengan kebutuhan khusus di dunia kerja. ***** This study aims to describe the employee recruitment mechanism, the implementation of the job training program, and the factors influencing the success of the work program for individuals with hearing impairments at Burger King Sunset Road Bali. The method used is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the recruitment process involves collaboration with the Social Rehabilitation Center for Individuals with Hearing and Speech Disabilities, which serves as a provider of employees with hearing impairments and offers empowerment programs for prospective employees. In the initial selection, 40 candidates who had participated in the empowerment program were accepted at Burger King Sunset Road. The job training program for newly recruited employees with hearing impairments at Burger King Sunset Road includes both theoretical and hands-on training in the workplace. The training process involves adjustments such as the use of visual media, intensive mentoring, and sign language interpreters. Although the training has led to an improvement in employee skills, challenges such as the use of sign language still require further evaluation. This approach fosters an inclusive work environment, enhances employee skills, and promotes equal opportunities for employees with hearing impairments. These findings reinforce the importance of inclusive training practices as an effort to empower individuals with special needs in the workforce.
