Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas Program Bully Busters dalam mengurangi perilaku Bullying di SMP Negeri 72 Jakarta. Bullying di lingkungan sekolah merupakan masalah serius yang berdampak negatif pada kesehatan mental dan akademis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen pretest-posttest. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang diisi oleh 100 siswa sebelum dan sesudah implementasi program, serta wawancara dengan 10 guru. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa frekuensi perilaku Bullying menurun sebesar 35% setelah program dilaksanakan. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan keterampilan sosial dan empati siswa, dengan skor rata-rata meningkat dari 65 menjadi 82. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam pelaksanaan program, seperti kurangnya agen perubahan dan dukungan dari pihak sekolah. Dengan demikian, rekomendasi untuk penerapan program secara berkelanjutan dan peningkatan partisipasi semua pihak, termasuk orang tua dan komunitas, disarankan untuk lebih mengoptimalkan efektivitas Program Bully Busters. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi pada pengembangan kebijakan dan praktik terbaik dalam penanganan Bullying di sekolah di Indonesia. ***** This study aims to test the effectiveness of the Bully Busters Program in reducing bullying behavior at SMP Negeri 72 Jakarta. Bullying in the school environment is a serious problem that negatively affects students' mental health and academics. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a pretest- posttest experimental design. Data was collected through questionnaires filled out by 100 students before and after program implementation, as well as interviews with 10 teachers. The analysis showed that the frequency of bullying behavior decreased by 35% after the program was implemented. In addition, there was an increase in students' social skills and empathy, with the average score increasing from 65 to 82. The study also identified challenges in implementing the program, such as the lack of change agents and support from the school. Thus, recommendations for continuous implementation of the program and increased participation of all parties, including parents and the community, are suggested to further optimize the effectiveness of the Bully Busters Program. The findings are expected to contribute to the development of policies and best practices in handling Bullying in schools in Indonesia.
