Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh proactive personality dan job crafting terhadap innovative work behavior melalui work engagement sebagai intervening. Studi kuantitatif ini melibatkan 176 responden yang merupakan Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) di Dinas Tenaga Kerja, Transmigrasi, dan Energi Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan pendekatan partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) melalui aplikasi SmartPLS. PLS-SEM dipilih karena berorientasi pada prediksi, sehingga dapat memberikan rekomendasi bagi praktik manajerial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proactive personality berpengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap work engagement. Job crafting berpengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap work engagement. Proactive personality berpengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap innovative work behavior. Job crafting berpengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap innovative work behavior. Work engagement berpengaruh positif secara langsung terhadap innovative work behavior. Proactive personality berpengaruh positif secara tidak langsung terhadap innovative work behavior melalui work engagement. Job crafting tidak berpengaruh positif secara tidak langsung terhadap innovative work behavior melalui work engagement. Keterbatasan penelitian ini hanya berfokus pada variabel proactive personality, job crafting, dan work engagement. Kata kunci: proactive personality, job crafting, innovative work behavior, work engagement ***** This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of proactive personality and job crafting on innovative work behavior through work engagement as intervening. This quantitative study involved 176 respondents who were civil servants (PNS) at the DKI Jakarta Provincial Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Office. Sampling was conducted using simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach through the SmartPLS application. PLS-SEM was chosen because it is prediction-oriented, so it can provide recommendations for managerial practice. The results showed that proactive personality has a direct positive effect on work engagement. Job crafting has a direct positive effect on work engagement. Proactive personality has a direct positive effect on innovative work behavior. Job crafting has a direct positive effect on innovative work behavior. Work engagement has a direct positive effect on innovative work behavior. Proactive personality has an indirect positive effect on innovative work behavior through work engagement. Job crafting does not have an indirect positive effect on innovative work behavior through work engagement. The limitations of this study only focus on the variables of proactive personality, job crafting, and work engagement.
