Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar di Kelurahan Rawamangun, Jakarta Timur. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh fenomena variasi hasil belajar IPS siswa di beberapa sekolah di Kelurahan Rawamangun, yang diduga berkaitan dengan tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa yang juga beragam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 84 siswa kelas IV dari salah satu SD Negeri yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian mencakup angket skala Likert untuk mengukur kepercayaan diri dan tes pilihan ganda, angket sikap, serta rubrik penilaian untuk mengukur hasil belajar IPS berdasarkan ranah pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dan hasil belajar IPS siswa hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 < 0.05 dan nilai t-hitung > t-tabel yaitu 8.966 > 1.66365. Maka dari itu, ini membuktikan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat kepercayaan diri siswa, maka semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar IPS yang dicapainya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru dan pemangku kepentingan pendidikan dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa guna menunjang hasil belajar mereka. Kata kunci: Kepercayaan diri, hasil belajar, IPS ***** This study aims to determine the relationship between self-confidence and the learning outcomes of Social Studies (IPS) of grade IV Elementary School students in Rawamangun Urban Village, East Jakarta. The background of this study is based on the phenomenon of variations in students' IPS learning outcomes in several schools in Rawamangun Urban Village, which are thought to be related to the varying levels of students' self-confidence. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a correlational research type. The research sample consisted of 84 grade IV students from one of the State Elementary Schools selected through cluster random sampling techniques. The research instruments included a Likert scale questionnaire to measure self-confidence and multiple-choice tests, attitude questionnaires, and assessment rubrics to measure IPS learning outcomes based on the domains of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The results of the analysis showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between self-confidence and students' IPS learning outcomes, this was evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 and a t-count value> t-table, namely 8.966> 1.66365. Therefore, this proves that the higher the level of student self-confidence, the higher the IPS learning outcomes they achieve. This research is expected to be a reference for teachers and educational stakeholders in designing learning strategies that can increase students' self-confidence to support their learning outcomes.
