Abstract

Meningkatnya perilaku konsumen masyarakat terhadap pembelian produk pakaian membuat menduduki peringkat pertama dan menjadi produk yang paling sering dibeli oleh masyarakat Indonesia secara online dengan presentase 70,13% menurut survei oleh Consumer Report Indonesia pada tahun 2023 dari Standard Insights. Fenomena ini berdampak pada lingkungan, terutama dari bahan kain sisa produksi yang dihasilkan. Berdasarkan observasi pada tiga usaha produksi pakaian, ditemukan rata-rata menghasilkan 50 Kg per bulan bahan kain sisa produksi dan dibuang begitu saja karena belum ada pihak yang mengelola. Oleh karena itu untuk menjawab masalah tersebut, pada penelitian ini peneliti menerapkan konsep eco fashion melalui manipulation fabric dengan teknik slashing, serta mengangkat motif budaya lokal yaitu motif Wadasan dari Cirebon yang mulai banyak disalah artikan namanya oleh masyarakat. Motif ini dieksplorasi melalui penerapan teknik slashing dan diaplikasikan pada jaket jenis shirt jacket berkonsep modular design dengan inovasi berupa sling bag dan aplikasi motif lepas pasang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian terhadap hasil eksplorasi motif Wadasan dengan penerapan teknik slashing pada produk jaket eco fashion menurut teori estetika A.A.M. Djelantik berdasarkan aspek wujud atau rupa, bobot atau isi, dan penampilan atau penyajian. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental design, one shot case study. Penelitian ini menghasilkan lima produk yang dinilai oleh lima panelis ahli berdasarkan kuesioner campuran terdiri dari 23 pernyataan menggunakan perhitungan rating scale. Hasil penelitian akhir secara umum dari kelima produk memperoleh rata-rata presentase akhir sebesar 95,17% yang termasuk dalam kategori ”sangat baik”, sehingga telah sesuai dengan teori estetika menurut A.A.M. Djelantik (1999). ***** The increasing consumer behavior of the community towards purchasing clothing products has made it rank first and become the most frequently purchased product by the Indonesian people online with a percentage of 70.13% according to a survey by Consumer Report Indonesia in 2023 from Standard Insights. This phenomenon has an impact on the environment, especially from the remaining fabric materials produced. Based on observations of three clothing production businesses, it was found that an average of 50 Kg of leftover fabric per month was produced and was simply thrown away because no one had managed it. Therefore, to answer the problem, in this study the researcher applies the concept of eco fashion through fabric manipulation with the slashing technique, and raises local cultural motifs, namely the Wadasan motif from Cirebon, which has begun to be widely misinterpreted by the public. This motif is explored through the application of slashing techniques and is applied to a shirt jacket with a modular design concept with innovations in the form of a sling bag and the application of removable motifs. This study aims to obtain an assessment of the results of the exploration of the Wadasan motif by applying the slashing technique to eco fashion jacket products according to A.A.M. Djelantik aesthetic theory based on aspects of form or appearance, weight or content, and appearance or presentation. This research method uses descriptive with a pre-experimental design, one shot case study. This study produced five products that were assessed by five expert panelists based on a mixed questionnaire consisting of 23 statements using a rating scale calculation. The final research results in general from the five products obtained an average final percentage of 95.17% which is included in the "very good" category, so it is in accordance with the aesthetic theory according to A.A.M. Djelantik (1999).
