Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar desain brief berbasis video motion graphic dengan model Four-D untuk kelas XI DKV SMKN 48 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah Four-D dengan empat tahapan, yaitu define, design, development, dan disseminate. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, kuesioner dan wawancara dengan siswa dan guru DKV SMKN 48 Jakarta. Hasil penelitian berupa enam video motion graphic berdurasi 2-3 menit yang mencakup aspek penting dalam elemen menerapkan desain brief. Hasil pengujian kelayakan menunjukkan persentase sebesar 100% oleh ahli materi, 95% oleh ahli media, dan 84% oleh siswa, yang seluruhnya termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motion graphic sangat layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar yang bersifat teoritis dan kompleks, serta mendukung pemahaman siswa terhadap materi desain brief di kelas XI DKV SMKN 48 Jakarta. ***** This study aimed to produce a design brief teaching material based on motion graphic video using the Four-D model for grade XI Visual Communication Design (DKV) students at SMKN 48 Jakarta. The method used was Four-D with four stages: define, design, development, and disseminate. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews with students and teachers of DKV SMKN 48 Jakarta. The result of the research was six motion graphic videos with a duration of 2–3 minutes covering important aspects in the element of applying a design brief. The feasibility test results showed a percentage of 100% by material experts, 95% by media experts, and 84% by students, all of which were categorized as very feasible. The results of the study showed that motion graphics were very feasible to be used as teaching materials that were theoretical and complex, also supported students understanding of the design brief material in grade XI DKV SMKN 48 Jakarta.
