Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peran guru sebagai model dalam penguatan karakter peserta didik sekolah dasar dengan konteks kasus di SDN Tegal Alur 08 Pagi. Pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologis digunakan untuk menangkap makna pengalaman subjektif guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumen; dianalisis menggunakan NVivo dengan uji keabsahan melalui kredibilitas, dependabilitas, konfirmabilitas, dan transferabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa profil guru sebagai model tercermin pada upaya menjadi pendidik terkini yang kompeten secara pedagogis, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian; menggali potensi siswa, merancang pembelajaran terpersonalisasi, menanamkan etika, dan mengaitkan materi dengan konteks lokal. Proses penguatan karakter dijalankan melalui peran multifaset (pendidik, pembimbing, fasilitator, evaluator, peneliti, pengembang diri, teladan) dan strategi kunci berupa pembiasaan pagi serta jurnal pembiasaan, didukung teknik kesepakatan kelas dan pemanfaatan waktu istirahat. Tantangan meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas/gedung bersama dan variabilitas dukungan keluarga; kelebihan guru tampak pada kedekatan relasional, komunikasi persuasif, dan penguatan positif reflektif sesuai dengan visi misi dan tujuan SDN Tegal Alur 08 Pagi. ***** This research aims to describe and analyze the role of teachers as models in strengthening the character of elementary school students in the case of SDN Tegal Alur 08 Pagi. A phenomenological qualitative approach is employed to capture the meaning of the teachers' subjective experiences. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and document studies; analyzed using NVivo with validity tests through credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability. The results of the study indicate that the profile of teachers as models is reflected in their efforts to be competent educators who are current in pedagogical, professional, social, and personal aspects; exploring student potential, designing personalized learning, instilling ethics, and relating materials to local contexts. The character strengthening process is carried out through multifaceted roles (educator, mentor, facilitator, evaluator, researcher, self-developer, exemplar) and key strategies in the form of morning habituation and a habituation journal, supported by classroom agreement techniques and the use of break time. Challenges include limited shared facilities/buildings and variability in family support; teachers' strengths are evident in relational closeness, persuasive communication, and positive reflective reinforcement in accordance with the vision, mission, and goals of SDN Tegal Alur 08 Pagi.
