Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan dan mengeksplorasi pengaruh tiga faktor determinan yakni kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah, pendampingan, dan pelatihan, terhadap kinerja guru pada SMK pelaksana program SMK Pusat Keunggulan (SMK PK) di Provinsi Jawa Barat. Penelitian menggunakan metode campuran jenis sekuensial eksplanatori dua tahap, dari kuantitatif dilanjutkan ke kualitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh SMK PK di Provinsi Jawa Barat yang berjumlah 278 sekolah. Sampel sekolah berjumlah 222 SMK PK yang tersebar di 13 regional (cabang dinas pendidikan provinsi). Dari setiap sampel sekolah ditentukan responden guru berjumlah 5 orang, sehingga jumlah responden guru mencapai 1.110 orang. Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner yang berisi skala tanggapan. Data kualitatif dikumpulkan dengan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi di empat SMK PK yang dipilih secara purposif. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif baik deskriptif maupun uji hipotesis dengan teknik analisis jalur model PLS-SEM menggunakan aplikasi SmartPLS. Analisis kualitatif dilakukan untuk mendalami temuan data kuantitatif dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian: 1) Kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja guru SMK PK. 2) Pendampingan berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja guru SMK PK. 3) Pelatihan berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja guru SMK PK. 4) Kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah berpengaruh tidak langsung melalui pelatihan terhadap kinerja guru SMK PK. 5). Pendampingan tidak berpengaruh secara tidak langsung melalui pelatihan terhadap kinerja guru SMK PK. 6) Kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah, pendampingan, dan pelatihan berpengaruh langsung terhadap kinerja guru SMK PK secara simultan. Dengan demikian, disimpulkan bahwa kinerja guru SMK PK dapat ditingkatkan melalui kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah, pendampingan, dan pelatihan. Penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan dalam penggunaan variabel yang tergolong baru, yaitu pendampingan dan pelatihan untuk menganalisis kinerja guru. Sebab itu, hasil penelitian ini masih dapat diteliti dan dikembangkan lebih lanjut. Kata kunci: kepemimpinan transformasional, pendampingan, pelatihan, kinerja guru, SMK PK. ***** This study aims to examine and explore the influence of three determinant factors, those are the principal's transformational leadership, mentoring, and training, on teacher performance at vocational schools implementing the Center of Excellence Vocational Schools (SMK PK) program in West Java Province. The study used a mixed method of two-stage explanatory sequential type, from quantitative to qualitative. The study population was all 278 SMK PK in West Java Province. The school sample consisted of 222 SMK PK spread across 13 regions (provincial education office branches). From each school sample, 5 teacher respondents were determined, so that the number of teacher respondents reached 1,110 people. Quantitative research data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires containing a response scale. Qualitative data were collected through interviews, documentary study, and observation. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively, both descriptively and hypothesis testing with the PLS-SEM model path analysis technique using the SmartPLS application. Qualitative analysis was carried out to explore the findings of quantitative data with the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that: (1) The principal's transformational leadership has a direct influence on the performance of SMK PK teachers. (2) Mentoring has a direct influence on the performance of SMK PK teachers. (3) Training has a direct influence on the performance of SMK PK teachers. (4) The principal's transformational leadership has a direct influence on teacher training. (5) The principal's transformational leadership has an indirect influence on the performance of SMK PK teachers through training. (6) The principal's transformational leadership, mentoring, and training have an influence on the performance of SMK PK teachers simultaneously. Thus, it is concluded that the performance of SMK PK teachers can be improved through the principal's transformational leadership, mentoring, and training. This study has limitations in the use of relatively new variables, namely mentoring and training to analyze teacher performance.
