Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi program bimbingan karir di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri di Kota Tangerang dengan menggunakan model evaluasi empat level Kirkpatrick, yaitu Reaction, Learning, Behavior, dan Result. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed methods dengan desain embedded, di mana data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui angket, sedangkan data kualitatif dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi. Responden terdiri dari siswa kelas XII, guru Bimbingan dan Konseling, wali kelas, wakil kepala sekolah bidang hubungan industri, serta perwakilan industri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada level Reaction, siswa memiliki persepsi positif terhadap pelaksanaan program bimbingan karir, dengan kategori tinggi sebesar 18%, sedang 66%, dan rendah 15%. Pada level Learning, program terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa dalam merencanakan karir, seperti dalam pembuatan CV dan eksplorasi peluang kerja atau pendidikan lanjutan, meskipun kategori tinggi belum tercapai (0%), sedang 85%, dan rendah 15%. Pada level Behavior, terjadi perubahan sikap siswa yang tercermin dalam peningkatan motivasi dan partisipasi dalam kegiatan karir, dengan 18% berada pada kategori tinggi, 68% sedang, dan 14% rendah. Sementara itu, pada level Result, ditemukan bahwa beberapa lulusan telah menunjukkan kesiapan karir, dengan 45% responden dalam kategori tinggi, 35% sedang, dan 21% rendah, walaupun pencapaian ini belum merata di semua sekolah. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pengembangan program bimbingan karir yang lebih sistematis, kolaboratif, dan kontekstual, serta menjadi acuan bagi pengambil kebijakan, guru, dan pihak industri dalam meningkatkan kesiapan karir siswa SMK. ***** This study aims to evaluate the career guidance program in public Vocational High Schools (SMK) in Tangerang City using Kirkpatrick’s four-level evaluation model: Reaction, Learning, Behavior, and Result. The research employed a mixed methods approach with an embedded design, in which quantitative data were collected through questionnaires, while qualitative data were gathered through interviews and observations. Respondents included 12th-grade students, guidance and counseling teachers, homeroom teachers, vice principals for industrial relations, and industry representatives. The findings show that at the Reaction level, students had a positive perception of the career guidance program, with 18% in the high category, 66% in the medium category, and 15% in the low category. At the Learning level, the program was found to improve students' understanding and skills in career planning, such as CV writing and exploring job or further education opportunities. However, none reached the high category (0%), with 85% in the medium category and 15% in the low category. At the Behavior level, students showed changes in attitude, reflected in increased motivation and participation in career activities, with 18% in the high category, 68% medium, and 14% low. At the Result level, several graduates demonstrated career readiness, with 45% in the high category, 35% medium, and 21% low, although this achievement was not evenly distributed across all schools. This study provides important implications for developing a more systematic, collaborative, and contextual career guidance program. It serves as a reference for policymakers, educators, and industry partners in enhancing the career readiness of vocational students.
