Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V melalui model Problem Based Learning pada muatan IPAS di SDN Kalimulya 1 Depok. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas V yang berjumlah 31 orang. Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart, yang terdiri dari tiga siklus dengan tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi serta refleksi pada setiap siklusnya. Data penelitian terdiri dari data proses dan data keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Data proses diperoleh melalui pemantauan aktivitas guru dan aktivitas peserta didik, sedangkan data keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik diperoleh melalui tes tertulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus I, ketuntasan hanya mencapai 26%, kemudian meningkat secara signifikan menjadi 71% pada siklus II atau naik sebesar 45%. Selanjutnya, pada siklus III, ketuntasan belajar peserta didik mencapai 87%, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan sebesar 16% dibandingkan dengan siklus sebelumnya. Kesimpulannya yaitu adanya peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada setiap siklus sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa penerapan model Problem Based Learning pada muatan IPAS telah berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. ***** This classroom action research was conducted with the aim of improving the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students through the Problem-Based Learning model in the IPAS curriculum at SDN Kalimulya 1 Depok. The subjects of this study were 31 fifth-grade students. The research design was classroom action research using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of three cycles with stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection in each cycle. The research data consisted of process data and critical thinking skills data of the students. Process data was obtained through monitoring teacher and student activities, while critical thinking skill data was obtained through written tests. The results showed an increase in critical thinking skills in each cycle. In cycle I, achievement reached only 26%, then significantly increased to 71% in Cycle II, a rise of 45%. Furthermore, in cycle III, student learning achievement reached 87%, showing an increase of 16% compared to the previous cycle. The conclusion is that there was an increase in critical thinking skills in each cycle, indicating that the application of the Problem-Based Learning model in the IPAS curriculum has successfully improved students' critical thinking skills.
