Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan sosial dan self-esteem terhadap stres akademik di kalangan siswa SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Populasi pada penelitian sebanyak 216 siswa yang berasal dari kelas XII SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta. Sampel penelitian didapatkan dengan menggunakan rumus Taro Yamane menghasilkan 140 siswa. Software SmartPLS 4.0 digunakan untuk melakukan analisis data SEM PLS dengan mengalisis model pengukuran, analisis model struktural, dan pengujian hipotesis untuk pengaruh langsung dan tidak langsung. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap stres akademik, bahwa dukungan sosial juga berkontribusi secara positif dan signifikan terhadap self-esteem, dan bahwa dukungan sosial berpengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap stres akademik melalui mediasi self-esteem. ***** This study aims to explore the influence of social support and self-esteem on academic stress among students of SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta. This study adopted a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population studied consisted of 216 grade XII students at SMK Negeri 40 Jakarta. SmartPLS 4.0 software was used to conduct SEM PLS data analysis. Measurement model analysis, structural model analysis, and hypothesis testing for direct and indirect effects were carried out. The results of this study indicate that social support has a negative and significant effect on academic stress, that social support also contributes positively and significantly to self-esteem, and that social support has an indirect effect on academic stress through self-esteem mediation.
