Abstract

Kata Kunci: Gulat, Cauliflower ear, Kepercayaan Diri, Motivasi Berlatih **** This study aims to determine the effect of cauliflower ear injuries on the self-confidence and training motivation of wrestlers at the Jakarta Student Sports Training Center (PPOP). A total of 16 wrestlers who had suffered cauliflower ear injuries were the subjects of this study. The study utilized the State Sport Confidence Inventory (SSCI) questionnaire to measure athletes' self-confidence and the Sport Motivation Scale II (SMS II) questionnaire to assess their training motivation. The research employed a dual paradigm approach, combining quantitative methods with MANOVA analysis and qualitative methods using a phenomenological approach. The MANOVA analysis yielded a result of 0.001, indicating that sig < 0.05, meaning that cauliflower ear injuries significantly influence the combined variables of self-confidence and training motivation. The results of the tests for each variable yielded a p-value of 0.036 for self-confidence and 0.001 for training motivation, indicating that sig < 0.05 and thus that cauliflower ear injuries significantly influence each variable. Keywords: Wrestling, Cauliflower ear, Self-confidence, Motivation to train
