Abstract
Penelitian ini menganalisis pembentukan karakter percaya diri peserta didik melalui program Apresiasi Seni di SMP Negeri 67 Jakarta. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, studi ini menemukan bahwa Apresiasi Seni efektif sebagai "pintu" untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri, terutama pada peserta didik yang sebelumnya pemalu atau memiliki kepercayaan diri rendah, dengan membebaskan mereka menampilkan minat dan bakatnya. Wali kelas berperan penting sebagai fasilitator, mentor, motivator, dan evaluator dalam mengimplementasikan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) untuk membimbing peserta didik. Melalui PjBL, peserta didik diberi kebebasan mengeksplorasi minat dan bakat, merencanakan penampilan, serta menghadapi tantangan dengan dukungan penuh dari wali kelas dan teman sebaya. Dampak positifnya meliputi peningkatan konsep diri, harga diri, dan pengalaman berharga dalam berkolaborasi. Indikator kepercayaan diri yang terbentuk adalah keyakinan akan kemampuan diri, optimisme, objektivitas, rasa tanggung jawab, serta sikap rasional dan realistis. Program ini direkomendasikan untuk dipertahankan dan dikembangkan lebih lanjut. ***** This research analyzes the development of self-confidence in students through the Art Appreciation program at SMP Negeri 67 Jakarta. Employing a qualitative approach, the study found that Art Appreciation is effective as a "door" to foster self-confidence, especially in students who were previously shy or had low selfesteem, by allowing them to showcase their interests and talents. Homeroom teachers play a crucial role as facilitators, mentors, motivators, and evaluators in implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model to guide students. Through PjBL, students are given the freedom to explore their interests and talents, plan performances, and face challenges with full support from homeroom teachers and peers. The positive impacts include improved self-concept, self-esteem, and valuable collaborative experiences. Indicators of developed self-confidence are self-belief, optimism, objectivity, responsibility, and a rational and realistic attitude. This program is recommended for continued maintenance and further development.
