Abstract
Perubahan industri dan teknologi global menuntut lembaga pendidikan vokasi seperti SMK untuk menyiapkan lulusan yang memiliki kompetensi teknis dan kesiapan kerja masa depan. Teaching Factory (TeFa) sebagai pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis produksi menjadi salah satu solusi strategis dalam menjembatani dunia pendidikan dan industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas Teaching Factory berbasis kompetensi dalam mempersiapkan kesiapan kerja siswa jurusan Teknik Otomotif SMKN 26 Jakarta menuju dunia kerja tahun 2030, menggunakan model evaluasi Kirkpatrick pada level 1 (reaksi) dan level 2 (pembelajaran). Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik triangulasi data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada level reaksi, siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap metode, fasilitas, dan pengalaman praktik TeFa, dengan rata-rata skor 88,23% (kategori sangat baik). Pada level pembelajaran, nilai kompetensi hasil Praktik Kerja Lapangan menunjukkan rata-rata 88,1 (kategori baik), mencerminkan keberhasilan transfer keterampilan teknis ke dunia kerja nyata. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Teaching Factory terbukti efektif membentuk kompetensi kerja yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan industri. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memperkuat penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis industri di SMK dan menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan kurikulum yang lebih adaptif terhadap transformasi dunia kerja masa depan. ***** Global industrial and technological changes require vocational education institutions such as vocational high schools (SMK) to prepare graduates with technical competencies and future work readiness. Teaching Factory as a production-based learning approach is one of the strategic solutions in bridging the world of education and industry. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of competency-based Teaching Factory in preparing work readiness for students majoring in Automotive Engineering at SMKN 26 Jakarta towards the world of work in 2030, using the Kirkpatrick evaluation model at level 1 (reaction) and level 2 (learning). This research approach is qualitative with data triangulation techniques through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show that at the reaction level, students gave a positive response to the Teaching Factory method, facilities, and practical experience, with an average score of 88.23% (very good category). At the learning level, the competency score from the Field Work Practice showed an average of 88.1 (good category), reflecting the successful transfer of technical skills to the real world of work. This study concludes that Teaching Factory has proven effective in forming work competencies that are in line with industry needs. These findings are expected to strengthen the implementation of industry-based learning models in vocational schools and serve as a basis for developing curricula that are more adaptive to the transformation of the future workforce.
