Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pemahaman lingkungan alam dengan sikap peduli lingkungan muatan IPA siswa kelas V SDN di Kelurahan Cengkareng Timur, Jakarta Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui berupa tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur pemahaman lingkungan alam dan angket skala Likert untuk mengukur sikap peduli lingkungan. Sampel berjumlah 91 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik simple random sampling dari dua sekolah dasar negeri. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara pemahaman lingkungan alam dan sikap peduli lingkungan dengan nilai koefisien korelasi Pearson sebesar 0,795 dan signifikansi 0,001 (< 0,05). Uji determinasi menunjukkan bahwa 63,2% sikap peduli lingkungan dipengaruhi oleh pemahaman lingkungan alam, sisanya 36,8% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Temuan ini memperkuat teori kecerdasan alam yang direpresentasi dalam bentuk kognitif yaitu pemahaman lingkungan alam dikemukakan oleh Howard Gardner, selain itu teori tersebut diperkuat oleh Armstorng dalam meningkatkan pemahaman lingkungan alam di sekolah berkontribusi pada pembentukan sikap peduli lingkungan siswa. Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Lingkungan Alam, Sikap Peduli Lingkungan, Siswa Sekolah Dasar ***** ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between understanding the natural environment and environmental care attitudes in the science content of fifth-grade elementary school students in East Cengkareng Village, West Jakarta. The research method used is quantitative correlation with data collection techniques in the form of multiple-choice tests to measure understanding the natural environment and Likert scale questionnaires to measure environmental care attitudes. The sample consisted of 91 students taken using simple random sampling techniques from two public elementary schools. The results of data analysis showed a significant positive relationship between understanding the natural environment and environmental care attitudes with a Pearson correlation coefficient value of 0.795 and a significance of 0.001 (<0.05). The determination test showed that 63.2% of environmental care attitudes were influenced by understanding the natural environment, the remaining 36.8% were influenced by other factors. This finding strengthens the theory natural intelligence represented in cognitive form, namely understanding the natural environment proposed by Howard Gardner, in addition, the theory was strengthened by Armstrong in increasing understanding the natural environment in schools contributes to the formation of students' environmental care attitudes.
