Abstract
Wiwin Widayanti. Peningkatan Pembelajaran Sosiologi Melalui Penerapan Kuis Interaktif Mentimeter Terhadap Motivasi Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas XI SMA Negeri 109 Jakarta. Skripsi. Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Sosiologi, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Hukum, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. 2025. Implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka, mengharuskan peserta didik diberikan kesempatan untuk memilih mata pelajaran sesuai dengan minat dan bakatnya. Hal ini menuntut peran guru untuk merancang pembelajaran yang lebih efektif, inovatif, dan adaptif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik. Oleh sebab itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni mengkaji apakah terdapat peningkatan antara penerapan kuis interaktif Mentimeter terhadap motivasi belajar sosiologi di SMA Negeri 109 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test control group. Variabel yang digunakan adalah variabel terikat (Y) yaitu motivasi belajar sosiologi dan variabel bebas (X) yaitu kuis interaktif Mentimeter. Penelitian berlangsung dari bulan Maret hingga Juni 2025. Populasi penelitian ini yaitu 147 orang dengan sampel 74 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan nonprobability sampling dengan jenis teknik sampling purposive, sehingga diperoleh peserta didik kelas XI Sosiologi 2 dan XI Sosiologi 3 sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik penelitian data berupa kuesioner atau angket, wawancara dan studi kepustakaan serta teknik pengolahan dan analisis data berupa uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji t, dengan menggunakan bantuan software Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 26 dan bantuan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menemukan perbedaan nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 68.92 dan posttest sebesar 71.31 pada kelas eksperimen, serta rata-rata pre-test sebesar 68.11 dan post-test sebesar 69.61 pada kelas kontrol. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan motivasi belajar sosiologi setelah penerapan media pembelajaran Mentimeter pada kelas eksperimen, meskipun peningkatannya tidak terlalu signifikan secara angka. Namun demikian, hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0.05, dengan nilai rata-rata kelas XI-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen 71.31 dan kelas XI-2 sebagai kelas kontrol 69.61. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata hasil post-test antara media pembelajaran Mentimeter dengan media pembelajaran Quizizz pada motivasi belajar sosiologi SMA Negeri 109 Jakarta. Enhancing Sociology Learning Through the Implementation of Mentimeter Interactive Quizzes to Improve the Learning Motivation of Grade XI Students at SMA Negeri 109 Jakarta. Thesis. Jakarta: Sociology Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University. 2025. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, students are given the opportunity to choose subjects according to their interests and talents. This requires teachers to design learning processes that are more effective, innovative, and responsive to students' needs. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine whether the implementation of the interactive Mentimeter quiz leads to an increase in students' motivation to learn sociology at SMA Negeri 109 Jakarta.. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a pretest and post-test control group design. The variables used are the dependent variable (Y), which is the motivation to learn sociology and the independent variable (X), which is the interactive quiz Mentimeter. The research will take place from March to June 2025. The population of this study is 147 people with a sample of 74 people. The sampling technique used was nonprobability sampling with purposive sampling, resulting in students from class XI Sociology 2 and XI Sociology 3 as the research sample. The data collection techniques included questionnaires or surveys, interviews, and literature studies, as well as data processing and analysis techniques such as validity tests, reliability tests, normalization tests, homogeneity tests, and T-tests, using the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 26 software and Microsoft Excel. The research findings revealed a difference in the average pre-test score of 68.92 and post-test score of 71.31 in the experimental class, while the control class had an average pre-test score of 68.11 and a post-test score of 69.61. These results indicate an increase in students’ motivation to learn sociology following the implementation of the Mentimeter learning media in the experimental class, although the numerical improvement was not particularly significant. Nevertheless, the results of the t-test showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. The average post-test score of class XI-3 (experimental class) was 71.31, compared to 69.61 in class XI-2 (control class). In conclution there is a difference in the average post-test scores between the use of Mentimeter and Quizizz as learning media on students' motivation in learning sociology at SMA Negeri 109 Jakarta.
