Abstract
ABSTRAK Dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, mutu akademik menjadi salah satu indikator utama keberhasilan sekolah. Mutu akademik mencerminkan tingkat pencapaian peserta didik dalam ranah kognitif, yang tercermin dalam hasil belajar, prestasi akademik, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis hasil dari suatu proses yang dikelola secara terencana, sistematis, dan berkelanjutan melalui apa yang disebut sebagai manajemen mutu akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) Menganalisis penetapan standar mutu akademik di Boarding School MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong dan SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 2) Menganalisis perencanaan mutu akademik di Boarding School MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong dan SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 3) Menganalisis pemenuhan mutu akademik di Boarding School MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong dan SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 4) Menganalisis audit mutu akademik di Boarding School MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong dan SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 5) Menganalisis perbaikan mutu akademik secara berkelanjutan di Boarding School MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong dan SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 6) Menyusun model konseptual manajemen mutu akademik yang dapat dijadikan sebagai rujukan dalam pengembangan sekolah menengah unggulan berbasis boarding di Indonesia. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi multisitus, penelitian ini menggali praktik implementasi mutu berdasarkan siklus penjaminan mutu: penetapan standar mutu, perencanaan mutu, pemenuhan mutu, audit mutu, dan perbaikan mutu berkelanjutan, dengan merujuk pada empat Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP): Standar Kompetensi Lulusan, Standar Isi, Standar Proses, dan Standar Penilaian. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, analisis dokumen institusional, dan observasi partisipatif, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak NVivo 14. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun berada di bawah dua kementerian yang berbeda, kedua sekolah menerapkan prinsip manajemen mutu akademik yang serupa melalui penetapan target mutu yang jelas, perencanaan kurikulum dan program kerja yang sistematis, pemenuhan mutu melalui implementasi pembelajaran terintegrasi dan berbasis proyek, serta audit internal melalui supervisi berkala dan evaluasi kepala sekolah. Perbaikan mutu dilakukan melalui refleksi periodik, forum guru, pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan dan partisipasi masyarakat juga menjadi faktor kunci dalam mendukung keberlanjutan mutu. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan model manajemen mutu akademik yang adaptif dan kontekstual, dengan menekankan pentingnya sinergi antara regulasi formal, budaya institusional, dan dinamika sistem boarding. Temuan ini berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan kerangka manajemen mutu pendidikan yang kontekstual dan berkelanjutan bagi sekolah unggulan lainnya. Academic quality reflects the level of student achievement in the cognitive domain, which is reflected in learning outcomes, academic achievements, and critical thinking skills the result of a process that is managed in a planned, systematic, and sustainable manner through what is called academic quality management. This study aims to: 1) Analyze the determination of academic quality standards at Boarding School of MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong and SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 2) Analyze academic quality planning at Boarding School of MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong and SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 3) Analyze the fulfillment of academic quality at Boarding School of MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong and SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 4) Analyze academic quality audits at Boarding School of MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong and SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 5) Analyze the continuous improvement of academic at Boarding School of MAN Insan Cendekia Serpong and SMAN Unggulan M.H. Thamrin Jakarta. 6) Developing a conceptual model of academic quality management that can be used as a reference in developing superior boarding-based secondary schools in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with a multi-site study design, this study explores quality implementation practices based on the quality assurance cycle: establishing quality standards, quality planning, quality fulfillment, quality audits, and continuous quality improvement, with reference to four National Education Standards (NES): Graduate Competency Standards, Content Standards, Process Standards, and Assessment Standards. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, institutional document analysis, and participant observation, then analyzed using NVivo 14 software. The results show that, despite being under two different ministries, both schools implement similar academic quality management principles through the establishment of clear quality targets, systematic curriculum and work program planning, quality fulfillment through the implementation of integrated and project-based learning, and internal audits through regular supervision and principal evaluation. Quality improvement is carried out through periodic reflections, teacher forums, continuous professional development, teacher development and community participation are also key factors in supporting quality sustainability. This study recommends an adaptive and contextual academic quality management model, emphasizing the importance of synergy between formal regulations, institutional culture, and the dynamics of the boarding system. These findings contribute to the development of a contextual and sustainable educational quality management framework for other leading schools.
