Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian produk hasil upcycling Jaket Denim dengan Pemanfaatan Sisa Kain Lace. Penelitian ini menggunakan bentuk Pre-eksperimental, lalu hasilnya diamati/diobservasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrument angket terdiri dari 18 pertanyaan yang diberi kepada 5 panelis ahli untuk menilai, dengan variable tunggal yaitu Upcycling Jaket Denim dengan Pemanfaatan Sisa Kain Lace, serta indikator berupa unsur desain, prinsip desain dan dimensi kualitas produk. Penilaian diukur dengan rating scale. Hasil penelitian pada indikator dimensi kualitas produk memperoleh skor tertinggi dengan nilai 91,2% dengan hasil sangat baik, Pada indikator prinsip desain memperoleh skor terendah dengan nilai 87,4% dengan hasil sangat baik. Hasil penelitian dari lima desain produk Upcycling Jaket Denim dengan Pemanfaatan Sisa Kain Lace, desain 4 mendapat nilai tertinggi yaitu 91,5%, berdasarkan pendapat panelis, bahwa hasil akhir, kesesuaian produk dengan desain, kesesuaian bentuk, pemilihan warna dan tekstur mendapatkan nilai sangat baik. Penempatan proporsi, serta hasil akhir upcycling memiliki perhatian yang menarik secara visual. Kesesuaian pada dimensi kualitas produk pemilihan material tambahan seperti kain lace yang dimanfaatkan secara tepat, tampilan produk dinilai telah mencerminkan prinsip estetika yang baik, Keseluruhan nilai akhir produk Upcycling Jaket Denim dengan Pemanfaatan Sisa Kain Lace dapat menjadi alternatif teknik upcycling dalam memperpanjang masa pakai pakaian. Kata Kunci: Upcycle, denim, jaket denim, lace. ***** The objective of this study is to evaluate the upcycled denim jacket product made from lace fabric scraps. This study uses a pre-experimental design, and the results are observed and analyzed. Data collection techniques used a questionnaire consisting of 18 questions administered to 5 expert panelists for evaluation, with a single variable being the upcycling of denim jackets using leftover lace fabric, and indicators including design elements, design principles, and product quality dimensions. The evaluation was measured using a rating scale. The research results on the product quality dimension indicator achieved the highest score of 91.2%, with an excellent result. The design principle indicator achieved the lowest score of 87.4%, also with an excellent result. The research results from the five Upcycling Denim Jacket designs utilizing lace fabric scraps showed that Design 4 received the highest score of 91.5%, based on the panelists' opinions, as the final result, product conformity with the design, form conformity, color selection, and texture were rated as very good. The placement of proportions, as well as the final upcycling results, have visually appealing attention. The suitability of product quality dimensions, the selection of additional materials such as lace fabric used appropriately, and the product appearance are evaluated as reflecting good aesthetic principles. The overall final value of the Upcycling Denim Jacket with Lace Fabric Utilization product can serve as an alternative upcycling technique to extend the lifespan of clothing.
